I really enjoyed meeting Reina. She explained everything in detail, answered all of my questions, and gave me a thorough tour of the building. I truly appreciate her professionalism and kindness. The building itself is excellent. It offers plenty of study rooms, great spaces for leisure activities, and the apartments are beautiful. Highly recommended! 🔥

❌❌❌❌Warning: Potential Financial and Health Hazard ❌❌❌❌ The following pest information comes from what the hired pest control contractor: Parks Pest Control (specifically the owner who came to handle our pest infestation) told me. It is very likely that both buildings have an infestation of Powder Post Beetles. Powder Post Beetles are wood eating beetles (very small, size: about the tip of a pencil) meaning they'll eat all wood/starch items including building materials, furniture, and books. The Parks Pest owner said most likely the warehouse that stored the wood for the buildings was infested. Then the wood was used in these buildings and that is why the problems are so wide spread. Parks Pest Control could not address the issue adequately and needed the experience of another pest control company but due to staffing shortages at Parks Pest nothing could be addressed. VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!: Due to the size, the ability for the pests to hibernate in extreme weather conditions, and its ability to infest a place with 2 or more beetles it is very easy to transfer this infestation to your house or anywhere you will move to and from. So please throw anything you have away or put them in a hot washer and dryer cycle and be very careful transferring back to your home. Everything the other 1 star reviews say about the overworked and understaffed staff are true. They can be rude at times and they have little power to fix any of the problems. The company (Asset Living) who owns the building is a national property management firm and their tactics, as seen from the reviews of other properties they manage and from my experience, is they purposefully hire less staff then needed and the management will ghost you on any of your concerns. From what the building inspector and maintenance crew told me, the buildings were hastily put up because the first batch of college students had to be moved in when college started and that is why the buildings have constant maintenance problems including, major plumbing leaks every couple months in the apartments, windows not being installed properly (heavy leakage when rain hits), etc. TL;DR TL;DR TL;DR: Pest infestation, along with lack of basic cleanliness, and maintenance. DO NOT LIVE HERE

Following the giant snowstorm, the Aspen plowed everyone's cars in. There are giant mounds of snow directly infront of every car. Instead of trying to have the lot cleared more, they handed out 4 shovels and told everyone to dig their way out of the mess that they had caused. 48 hours after the storm, the lot is still a complete mess and nobody is able to find parking due to the amount of snow still covering the vast majority of the lot. Multiple cars are currently circling the parking lot and trying to find a spot to park because so many are unavailable and piled with snow. For paying as much as we do to live here, you would think they would at least be able to clear the snow from the parking lot and sidewalks. While I understand that the lot is plowed by a contracted vendor, the Aspen should take responsibility and get the place cleaned up.

Jaron is the best!! Our entire AC unit was broken and we had a lot of issues with our unit and he fixed everything instantly. He is the best maintenance worker and is on top!! He also finally fixed our hot water heater and gave us a TV remote after 5 months of not having it. Also shoutout Gio and Byron, they are the best!!!

Update as of November 2025. After moving out, got a letter from a collection agency four months later on behalf is Aspen State College. They are charging a cleaning fee, although the apartment was filthy on move-in date. $578…. They also claim a damaged carpet, which was there on move-in date. On top, with a collection agency you have no recourse, have to pay or have the debt reported to a credit agency. Aspen waited enough to report it through a collection agency. That way you have no option. Advice, don’t house your kids here. It will be a headache on the long run. They are a scam. Most likely will charge these fees but apartments were not clean and or repaired. Original review below. Not worth renting, the management does not maintain the buildings. The management will show a cleaned and beautifully decorated apartment before signing but once you sign get ready to receive a filthy, with dead insects and mold. There’s nothing you can do as the management will blame it on whomever is already living at the unit. They don’t clean the common areas, neither maintain the AC units. Hallways and stairs are always dirty. Other tenants speed on the parking lot, very unsafe, yet the management will not do anything to address it.
