The Social Block and Townhomes, starkville-ms

It a great place to live. It right by the MSU campus a great place to go to college. It's a beautiful college . The social Block and Townhomes has a pool, dog park and it is walking distance to stores . It was really easy getting in the apartments. The staff is very helpful. Need a place to live move to the Social Block and Town Homes in Starkville,Ms.

NASTY!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! Holes in walls, roaches, leaks, apartment was NOT cleaned and they were replacing all the flooring when moving in so we were delayed moving in! Move in time was 11am we did not get to move in till like 2 or 3 PM!!! Told the manager about the issues with the apartment and nothing was done about it, had to get bug bombs and professional grade roach spray to actually make it livable. First night had to sleep in the car because it was so bad! They say they spray every Thursday, bullshit. They only spray if you complain multiple times. I swear I tried to stay away from that apartment for as long as I could and would only sleep there. If you contemplate ever living here, save yourself and run away.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but people need to know how bad this place really is. This complex is overpriced for what is given, dirty, and completely neglected. Pests, broken AC, and maintenance that either takes forever or doesn’t fix anything at all. They’ll happily take your money but won’t do the bare minimum to make the place livable. The front office is unhelpful and acts like your concerns don’t matter. Meanwhile, you’re dealing with pests, heat, and an apartment that looks like it hasn’t been updated in years. Outside is disgusting too dog poop everywhere, trash piling up, and barely any lighting at night. It honestly feels like they’ve just given up on maintaining the property. If you’re thinking about moving here, don’t. You will regret it.

Living at Social Block was a terrible experience. On my first night, my car was towed. When I sought help, the officer was completely indifferent to my situation. As an international student. I was charged $280, which included a $50 'holiday fee' for an extra day. Furthermore, I was promised one month of free rent when I signed my lease in May. However, when I moved in August, the officer claimed the policy no longer exists in their system.Even though I had an email to show them.

Alycia was super helpful and accommodating during my tour. She answered all my questions and was super knowledgeable. The management staff was also nice and expanded on some of my inquiries. If you’re in the Columbus/Starkville area and in need of a place to stay, definitely check-out the Social Block.
