Redpoint Starkville, starkville-ms

My son lived here and we paid every month on time. We left the apartment clean. He received charges after check-out with pictures of an apartment that wasn’t even his. We emailed and called with no response. They finally collected the money through a debt agency. I’m 50 with perfect credit and have never experienced such fraudulence. If you can find any other place to stay in Starkville, please do. They are willing to put a parent’s credit on the line even after faithful payments. It’s robbery.

Redpoint is genuinely the worst apartment complex in Starkville. The management and maintenance team are completely incompetent and non responsive. My unit’s AC went out in June 2025, and as I’m writing this review in April 2026, it is still not fixed. It’s constant excuses as to why they can’t fix it, yet those excuses aren’t making my house any cooler. They charged my over $300 in carpet replacement fees to never actually change the pocket. Their move out charges are predatory at best. Their dispute system is horrible, and it is designed in such a way that you have no real say in anything. The property manager is the worst person I have interacted with in my life. Completely unprofessional, and it’s clear she only does this job for the money. She has no care for residents. The front office staff is generally clueless as well. The property is not well maintained. Talk a drive down any road and you can see trash all over the roads and sidewalks. There’s not enough parking, so if you get home from work after 10 pm, expect to walk a quarter mile to your house. I would never recommend Redpoint to anyone. I would rather sleep in a tent in the woods than live here.

After never being late on a payment for 2 years, cleaning the apartment better than it was when we moved in, we get a bill for over $1334.00 for cleaning and damages. No response from emails disputing the charges and no one will respond by phone messages. To top it off the other 3 renters at the time had much less charges even though most of the charges occurred in the general living area. Management was always hard to get in touch with throughout the 2 year process. After 7 emails and numerous calls no answer from Redpoint.

Pick another apartment, please. If you plan on having a decent college experience, just pick another apartment. I've been woken up numerous times from 1-3am from people honking car horns and screaming right outside my window for hours on end. Everyday there's super loud cars going through and will wake me up at 6am from the noise. People drive through the narrow road at 35mph and the parking spots are tiny. The buildings are so cheapily made and you WILL get absurd charges when you move out. They will charge you, and they won't actually use that money to make repairs, they just charge the next person who moves in. There's no reason to pick redpoint over the other apartments available. It's cheap, but not worth it at all. I have lived here for 2 years and regretted cheaping out on an apartment. Update: I had my lock on my apartment changed without notice, and got locked out going into fall break. Update 2: I just had my locks replaced again randomly during class, and was unable to get into my house when I got home. The office was closed, so I couldn't get my new key. Update 3: As others have said, I got charged about $962 in cleaning and damages when I left my room in the same condition as when I moved in, cleaning everything. They are completely vague with the charges too. It says "damage charges" and "charges for cleaning needed" with no other descriptions, just random amounts. As others have said, it's just a scam to try and get more money out of students. Go to college view instead if you can afford it. They charged me $8 to replace some light bulbs when I left and that was it. AVOID REDPOINT. Absolutely horrible for students.

Terrible place to stay. If you want to go swimming don’t stay here the pool never has water in it. If you want to wash and dry your clothes you’re better off going to a laundromat. Then that little gym like what I’m supposed to do in there just do some jumping jacks?? Then they will charge you damages for stuff you didn’t even do. SCAMMERS. And they work with that bankrupt junkyard towing company apex.
