Lakeside Student Living, starkville-ms

I’m not a resident, but I recently interacted with the front office at Lakeside Student Living and had a great experience. The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. They took the time to answer all my questions clearly and made sure I felt taken care of, even as a non-resident. It’s obvious they care about people and take pride in providing excellent service. Based on my experience alone, I would highly recommend them!

Worst experince I feel like I could’ve given myself as a first apartment. The leasing office staff seemed to be completely uninterested in helping me in most of my concerns. They seemed to throw the fact they could enter my unit at anytime into my face sometimes I would come home to things being out of place and it unnerved me. If you are well off and have people who plan on paying your rent for you then this might be a good place. but as far as doing it yourself please try and find somewhere that respects effort and struggle. I was late on my rent and attempted to pay it online and I got a message from my bank saying it wasn’t paid I called lakeside and they told me it went through and not to worry. By the time they told me to pay my rent almost a week later I had gained 300$ in late fees and on the brink of eviction for something they told me not to worry about. They ended up locking my account to pay online which made things extremely difficult since I worked night shift. They didn’t communicate about renovations or maintenance coming in so usually I’d be woken up unexpectedly and only get a notice at 9am while being asleep from my night shift. It felt like they were just trying to get as much money out of me as possible by making it extremely hard to pay them. (My roommate had her account locked but they unlocked hers from the second month of my lease till my move out date I had to pay by money order and they never explained to me why.I felt like anytime there was an instance where I would fulfill my part financially they would let me know about something else last minute so I couldn’t pay or come up with the money just to say I was a bad tenant. It got to the point where they attempted to give me charges for animals that weren’t mine based off of assumptions. It got to a point where I felt genuinely unsafe and had to drop school completely just to try my best to work full time so I could afford any unexpected charges and hopefully get myself out of constantly loosing the money I was trying to save by more and more fees.

Amazing staff and very nice. My friends and I are very happy with our apartment and just renewed our leases. I would definitely recommend leasing here it’s a very pretty and affordable.

Living here is great, the office staff is super helpful specifically Parish. The pool is amazing and the other amenities are great as well. Rent is relatively low and the maintenance staff is super helpful as well.

I did enjoy being at lakeside! Their maintenance is reliable, and it’s simple to contact the office. They have multiple amenities, and a 24hr hall. I do recommend getting friends or family as roommates, which will make your visit even better!
