The Standard, st-louis-mo

I’ve been living at The Standard for almost a year, and honestly, I have nothing bad to say. I also feel super safe here. They are very helpful, understanding, and incredibly fast! The maintenance team is truly the best, always smiling and helping whenever needed. Whenever I request something, it’s usually done within the next 24 hours. Big thank you to Jose and Jack for always being so nice. The front desk staff is amazing as well, always there to help and listen to anything you have to say. I had some issues in my account, and Shardane and Jordyn were really helpful! I 100% recommend living here, especially if you’re an SLU student since it’s super close to campus!

The Standard St. Louis is truly an amazing place. The rooms are well furnished and immaculately cleaned, the attention to detail is evident. I especially love the inviting scent of their lobby and bathrooms. The management team's commitment to excellence is what truly sets them apart. They maintain a high internal standard but hold their partner vendors, like us, to an even higher one. This dedication ensures the best possible experience for their residents. Working with Cory for over three years has been easy. His detailed instructions, prompt follow-ups and genuine appreciation for our work make him incredibly easy to partner with. Shardane and Destiny are always working hard to keep everything running smoothly. Everyone can absolutely expect a higher standard of service and attention from The Standard.

I lived in the standard for three years out of pure convince of not wanting to move. This is a terrible company who tries to get every penny out of your pocket. It is known amongst guests that management is rude and the only way to help you solve your problems are $75 or more charge. They work with terrible companies, which shows who they are as well. For example, their towing company is 45 minutes away and in a one room shed with bars on windows and doors, bullet holes all over. The towing company charges you over $1,000 to get your car back along with damages to your car. There are so many towing companies near the apartment building but standard goes out of their way to work with a terrible one and make it even harder on residents. This is just the start of awful management choices they have made. I have made multiple calls after hours about noise and safety where they simply do not answer, despite having “24 hour security”. So where is it when I needed them? The parking gate is always broken and cars have been broken into on multiple occasions. They always notify residents right at 6pm knowing their office closes at 6 pm and you can’t call to talk to anyone. Would not recommend this place to ANYONE, and the only reason they have somewhat good reviews are because they pay residents to place them.

As a parent, I couldn’t have been happier with my daughter living here near SLU! The rooms were very spacious, and the property always felt safe and well maintained. The maintenance staff was incredibly helpful and quick to handle any issues, which gave me so much peace of mind. The leasing process was so easy, and the staff answered every question in the kindest, most helpful way. There were also great amenities like the tanning bed, clubhouse, and study rooms, plus frequent fun events that helped students feel connected and heard. It was such a great experience overall, and I would absolutely recommend it to other parents and students!

I’ve had a great experience living here! Jordan at the front desk is always so kind and helpful, and truly makes residents feel supported. He worked effectively to resolve an issue I had by speaking with management. Maintenance is also outstanding, quick, reliable, and efficient. Jack is amazing and always does a fantastic job. So grateful for such a wonderful team!
