This complex should honestly change their name to 605 we nickel and dime you for every thing you could possibly think of. I’m honestly surprised they don’t charge for the air you breathe. DO NOT LIVE HERE be warned college students they will definitely do what they can to make it seem like a great deal but take advantage of you. They advertise for rooms staring at $599 be warned after they hit you with a bunch of administration fees every month and utilities you will be paying about $200-$400. They also were not honest with me about these fees and it was quite the shock when my first bill came and it was almost $900. They also broke my account so I was unable to pay rent for three months and everytime I went and talked to them about it they said they were working on it. I set money aside based on what they told me I was going to have to pay each month. They finally fixed my account and I was charged almost $2000. I went and had a conversation about it and was ridiculed and blamed for not having enough saved which is crazy to me since I was basing it of the figure they gave me when I first moved in. In our discussion I also realized they had charged me for an extra month of rent for a month I hadn’t even lived at the complex. Look over every single invoice they give you. If you want to be charged for everything you can think of then this is the place for you. You can find much better and cheaper places in town that won’t charge you random fees and are up front with what they will charge you. DO NOT LIVE HERE. In closing the office ladies were very nice and helpful and I know they are just doing there job but it’s a shame because it falls on upper management who is never in the building because it’s owned by a larger corporation.

I lived here for a year, and while I don’t think the property uses false advertising, there are several issues that prospective tenants should be aware of. The biggest surprise was the number of additional fees added on top of the base rent. By the time everything was included, I was paying around $200 more per month than I originally expected. The amenities were also disappointing. The pool was closed frequently throughout the year, making it difficult to actually use one of the features that helped justify the cost of living here. Another recurring issue was billing. There were multiple occasions where charges were incorrect, including double charges and utilities being billed inaccurately. Having to constantly review statements and address billing errors became frustrating and time-consuming. My rent got double charged for 3 months before they finally took my office visits seriously. Overall, my experience wasn’t terrible, but the unexpected monthly fees, unreliable access to amenities, and ongoing billing issues made living here much more frustrating than it should have been. I would recommend carefully reviewing all fees and checking your monthly statements if you decide to live here.

I moved into 605 place at the beginning of May and since then there has been nothing but problems. I was supposed to transfer rooms on 7/31 yet when they gave me my keys, the bathroom was completely torn apart. When asked, the lady at the office said she simply “forgot” it was happening. I work 40 hours a week and took off this specific day to move just to not get into my place for another 4-5 days. Then when I did move in, the room was disgusting and nothing had been cleaned. There was food left in the freezer from previous tenants that was never cleaned out, dust from construction everywhere, and no cleaner had gone through my room. They rushed to pick up the pieces for weeks after I moved in, however the fact that it was not done before I was living there is ridiculous. The whole reason I transferred rooms was to live with a friend moving in and they messed that up as well. When confronted about it, Brandon said she had called and asked not to live with me. This was a blatant lie to cover up the fact that they had messed up (again.) When work was being done on the bathrooms there was a worker harassing me in my apartment while I was living alone and no action was taken against him. I saw him on property for weeks after this after being told it had been taken care of. They’re having issues filling rooms because of the terrible management, not because there’s not enough people at UTU. For the price that we pay in rent, we deserve more respect than what Brandon or any of the 605 team has shown us.

The staff at 605 apartments are awesome! Very helpful, easy to work with, and very kind! The new property manager Shelly is also so helpful and I know things are in good hand with her!

The housing, rooms, and location are actually pretty good but definitely overpriced. The real issue is the management. I moved out three months ago and have been dealing with ongoing problems related to my move out statement. I was incorrectly charged for things like unnecessary cleaning fees. After several back and forth emails, the manager Brandon eventually adjusted the charges so that I no longer owed anything, but I also did not get my deposit back. I believe I am still owed some of it and am trying to get that resolved. Then I found out the incorrect bill was sent to collections, which hurt my credit. Brandon has also not responded to any of my emails in 7 weeks. Also, before moving in I was told utilities should cost about $60 a month. I was charged over $100 one month for utilities, and was charged more than they suggested most, if not all months (during fall and spring semester). Overall, decent building in itself, but serious issues with management and/or the property company. Document everything if you decide to live here, though that probably won’t help you. Better yet choose somewhere else to live.
