I lived here for over year, and honestly I have come to hate my own home ! They have a major cockroach and bedbug problem. Obvs I keep a clean home so I don’t have bed bugs but sometimes I have to deal with cockroache coming from other apartments connected to mine! The most upsetting part of this whole experience, is that I just wanted to finish up my lease and move elsewhere but they trick me! they automatically renewed my lease for another year because I verbally told them I wanted out of my lease and I didn’t give them a 30 day written notice ! There a way nicer places in Springfield that are actually the same price or cheaper ! Plead my advice and do not rent from them ... trying to save you time and heart ache and pain

Lived here in 2002 for just a few months, and I loved it while I lived here. Like another reviewer has said, my apartment was extremely haunted, so I broke my lease early. I lived in #8. It's a great location for students, everyone in the complex became good friends when I lived there, and it was reasonably priced. On to the haunting . . . My apartment was on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool. I had a small TV in the bedroom, but no TV in the living room. I had a 5-disc CD player in the living room as my entertainment. Whenever I put on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, the CD would stop a few minutes in and the stereo would change discs. I thought the stereo was faulty, but it was only that CD and it didn't matter where it was in the stereo. It also didn't matter if I tried to skip ahead a few tracks, and it worked in any other stereo. Then, the shower attacks. This started after about 6 weeks of living there. When I was in the shower, all of the steam would evaporate out of the room, it would get cold, even the water. I thought it was the water heater/taking too long, or maybe my cat opened the bathroom door. Then the curtain would start slowly moving back and forth. Then, it was like someone was thrashing at the shower curtain from the other side. The first time this happened, my sister and a neighbor were over, so I thought they were messing with me. When I got out of the shower, the door was still locked, the vent was off, don't know what happened. After that first time, it happened a few other times, about weekly for me. Basically, I learned to shower VERY quickly. Neighbors would see a woman who looked like me looking through my windows while I was gone at work. I woke up to a woman's face staring and smiling at me once, which was odd. There was a lot of other weird stuff. I was talking to the maintenance guy about all of this, and he took me to another apartment just below mine and showed me the exploding toilet. They were trying to rent it out, but the toilet kept exploding (like, flooding the place and pieces of porcelain everywhere). He told me there a woman was murdered in the complex sometime in the past - late 70's?, and he said it took place in the bathroom, but wasn't sure which apartment. He thought it was the exploding toilet unit (I think it was #2 or #3) or maybe mine. Anyway, other than the shower attacks and hating Pink Floyd, whatever was in my apartment was nice. No creepy black orbs, and didn't mess with anything really. I'm just posting this now because I was helping a friend look for a place and recommended this complex, told her what happened when I lived there; pretty sure she thought I was nuts. Then I found another review about the toilet and hauntings. Just thought I'd post my ghostly experience and suggest burning some sage or something if you do move in here, because otherwise it's a great place.

I just signed the lease. My new place is BEAUTIFUL!! Pam, the manager, worked with me and redid the whole entire unit. New floors, cabinets, carpets, appliances, and of coarse freshly painted. I'm excited to move In tommorrow.

These apartments are extremely haunted. So, if you aren't up for living with the spirits, find another place. I rated this a 3, because when I lived here I really liked the community set up. If you're facing the inside towards the pool (if it's still there) then you really got to know your neighbors and that was great! But on the Hauntings side, I found apartment 19 to be particularly scary. When we moved in, the first day, I was given a smudge of what was to come. The first thing I took in was a box with our alarm clock. I put the clock on the box, plugged it in, set the time, and set the alarm. Walked outside to get another box, went back in and my times had completely changed. It wasn't like a power outage where everything resets to 12:00, either. It had went to completely random numbers for the hour and minutes on both the set time and the time for the alarm to go off. Over the time I lived there it was very hard to sleep without a light on, and the TV going for distractions. The spirit there would turn my cordless phone on and off. It would turn on and you'd hear a dial tone, go to turn it off and it would turn itself off.. As you go to put it back down it would turn on again. I had heard voices living there. I had my room ambushed by tapping that radiated from one side to the other. I always at least had my radio on lightly at night because I had a bird, and total silence spooks birds. I turned it on every night like clock work. I woke up around 3am and my radio was turned off. I almost switched it back on, but decided to turn the light on to look at it first. On inspection the volume was turned all the way to its max. I turned down the volume and then switched it on, where it was on nothing but static. I would've blasted static if I didn't look at it first. People have claimed to walk in and see me walk into a room only to find I wasn't there. The spirit in 19 I'm not sure is a spirit at all. It's a he, and he will give you mad goosebumps if he enters the room. He is able to do things that terrify you and he will make you think a child is there to bring down your guard. I have seen and heard many things in that apartment. I ended up moving out to a new apartment within the complex. After moving out the young make apartment manager at the time told us about other apartments where crazy things would happen. One of the apartments had a toilet that would explode. Like the porcelain would break. This happened more than once for no reason. Our new apartment was also haunted. Either we were followed or it was just new. This spirit tapped on everything. My first day there my whole kitchen, the dishes that were removed from boxes, appliances, and cabinets all started tapping. Very loud. And when I was putting my entertainment center together, more tapping. My friends lamp constantly tapped at night. I got a new painting, and after putting it up it started tapping, just a little. And I asked it to stop and that was a mistake, as it started tapping fast and hard. My friend and I also witnessed a black orb go up the bedroom wall. We got the opportunity to investigate 19 later on with crazy - amazing results! Just know he's not friendly.. Don't try to reach out. If anything have the place blessed and cleansed.

I live there an apartment 112 2950 North national and they put on my background that I owed for a door that she had me call the cops and reported it and then they charged me $1,700 for that door while I was homeless trying to get into housing to get off the street Pam ruined my life I live there are two years and paid faithfully every damn month no once did I ask for anything to be fixed or done in my apartment just to screw me when I moved out of there they are fraud and messed up people I even had a police report on the door and they still charged me that's how they are my daughter is who she blames for the door which in reality shows she wouldn't get in trouble with the main people to charge me she's a dirty landlord
