As a parent of a college student living at Bear Village, I’ve been extremely impressed with the overall experience. The location is excellent—very convenient to campus—the amenities are truly spectacular, and it feels very safe. What stands out most is the strong sense of community. Bear Village consistently hosts a wide variety of FREE social activities, often including food and refreshments, that help students connect and feel a sense of belonging without ever making participation feel forced. It creates a warm, friendly, and inclusive environment where every student can find their place. There’s always something happening—whether in the clubhouse, around the fire pits, by the pool, or at the sand volleyball court—giving students plenty of opportunities to stay engaged. The staff are friendly, helpful, and responsive, consistently going out of their way to accommodate residents’ needs. Maintenance has been reliable and quick to respond, and there have been no issues with bugs or excessive noise. The only challenge my son experienced this past year involved package deliveries occasionally being returned to sender. This seemed less like an issue with Bear Village itself and more related to delivery carriers. Overall, this has been a very positive living experience, and I would absolutely recommend Bear Village to students and parents looking for a supportive and vibrant community close to Missouri State campus.

The apartments are clean, modern, and super cozy, with plenty of space and great amenities. The location is perfect—close to everything you need, whether it’s school, shopping, or places to eat. What really makes Bear Village stand out is the atmosphere. It feels safe, welcoming, and like a real community. The management team is amazing, and the leasing office staff is absolutely incredible—so friendly, professional, and always ready to help with anything you need. Maintenance is quick and reliable, which makes living here completely stress-free. Bear Village has been our son’s home for the past 4 years. He lived in a 4 bedroom apartment. We were very happy to find a location that kept him close to campus as well as being centrally located in Springfield. There are many great amenities at Bear Village including a pool, club house and workout facility. The apartment set up was great and made it easy for him to cook his own meals, interact with roommates and also gave him privacy when needed. The common area is very spacious with a full kitchen and living area with TV included. The bedrooms are large with full bathrooms and large walk-in closets. We recommend taking a tour of Bear Village if you are looking for off campus housing for your MSU Bear!

My son goes to Missouri State and has been living at Bear Village for 3 years, he absolutely loves it. As a dad I feel stress free knowing that he is taken care of. The people of management especially, Lindsey has been extremely professional and over the top in making sure that my son is comfortable and enjoying his time. To all the parents out there, as a parent this place is safe and is 100% recommended by me.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! Seriously, I am warning you. They don’t return your security deposit even if there are only minor damages. The management is terrible. Lindsey, the head of management, is twice our age and loves to have “fun” with everybody on the football team. Stuck in high school. There is nonstop drama. The 75 page lease won’t allow you to do basically anything except eat sleep and work. Want to have friends over? Want your significant other to spend the night? Make sure it’s not more than a few times a month! If they have an issue with you then expect to be threatened by them contacting an attorney. And unless you’re an attractive athlete, don’t expect any help from management in a timely manner! SERIOUSLY!!! DO NOT TAKE THE CHANCE
