I honestly don’t know where to start with this review. The stay here started off okay, lived here for 3 years. Although, I came in to dirty walls and broken furniture, I had no complaints at the beginning. Everything started to go downhill when the management changed. The new manager in the office was not helpful whatsoever. There were three of us living in a 4-bedroom around the time we were told a week before the fourth roommate was moving in. We were not informed she had a dog and found this out by doing research on our own. When we filled out our form, we selected to NOT live with dogs. According to the workers in the leasing office, they lost all of our records when they made the switch to new management, so we had no choice but to live with a dog and suffer with dog hair being found in our rooms, washing machine, KITCHEN, almost everywhere! We were fined for the valet trash can being outside “out of pick-up hours”, so we had to take a dirty, disgusting trash can in and out of the apartment. The pool barely seemed to be opened, the “pool closed” sign stayed hanging up. The walkway and stairs STAYED DIRTY, trash stayed scattered from the parking lot to the stairway. Dogs outside constantly without being on a leash. Poop on every inch of the grass, so please make sure you stay on the sidewalk. We had black mold in the living room vent. Maintenance supposedly came to clean it, but it was still there. I do not recommend this place at all!!! Maybe they’ll do “okay” again once they change management since the current don’t seem to care about their residents AT ALL. The new staff in the leasing office were nice though (can’t remember their names).

This place kinda sucks. My roommates were cool so I didn’t mind it. No 6 month leases is stupid. The security is worthless & at one point they even had them checking to make sure you were a resident before coming into the apartment complex? That’s insane. They are super quick to find anything to fine you for, but then are slow to fix issues when asked. We had a broken AC & it wasn’t fixed. And when I called they said the work order had been closed… even though it wasn’t fixed. So we had to wait another day or two for our AC to be fixed in the summer!!! Overall, it’s a cheap place which is good but the upper management is poor. They can also be pretty slow to respond to emails occasionally. So you get what you pay for I guess.

I absolutely love living here! The staff goes above and beyond to make residents feel welcome and valued. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and responsive whenever I need anything. The property is always kept clean, and the community has a great atmosphere. Moving here was one of the best decisions I made, and I would highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a place that truly feels like home.

I am giving this apartment complex a 1-star review but since they remove those reviews I am putting a 2-star review. Don’t believe the reviews you see on here. Everyone I know that lived here is super unhappy. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY HERE. They are so quick to fine people for anything. I had multiple fines from having trash outside in the trash bins and I stated that Valet Trash wasn’t picking it up and they asked for proof. Well, I finally got proof of it happening and they now won’t respond to my 6 emails I have sent in the past month. We are now getting fined for having a couple plastic chairs outside on our balcony. They go out of there way to find any way to fine the residents. You should feel at home when staying at an apartment complex away from home and going to school and this place makes it miserable. I am so happy to finally be out of this complex. If you are a student at upstate, please stay away from this place.

Upon the original move in for my son we walked into a unit that was not clean. The bathroom was nasty. We had to remove trash left by the previous tenant. The carlet was stained and dirty, along with dirty window sills, door frames, mattress and walls. All of which was left for me to clean. When presented to the management at that time, I was given gloves to clean the unit. When asked about moving to another unit I was told by Maurice that unit would more than likely be worse than what we already was assigned to. Chalked it up to vendor issues. No recourse was provided. First red flag. Future residents, be cautious. You will be fined for issues that you may have not caused all because you share a living space with people you may not even know. Could it have been a better experience on both sides? Absolutely! However, the constant changes, new rules put into place, notifications limiting how many guests you can have at a time and miscommunication made the living experience unpleasant. From what I have seen at move out Auden will impose separate cleaning fees for your private bathroom, the unit itself and a cleaning fee for the common area. All charged to each tenant. It doesn’t matter if you in fact may have had to clean your unit to make it livable when you moved in. Not to mention the constant fines for the infamous valet trash service that was supposedly in place. Anyways, just sharing some of what the experience was over the years. Future residents, expect the unexpected. Auden remember the majority of your residents are students. Not all bad but the bad outweighed the good.
