Irish Flats, south-bend-in

Irish Flats is an amazing place to live! The location is super convenient, especially being so close to campus, restaurants, and everything you need nearby. The property is always kept clean, and the atmosphere feels welcoming and comfortable. The staff and maintenance team are friendly, professional, and quick to help whenever needed. Management truly cares about the residents and works hard to make sure everyone has a great experience. I would highly recommend Irish Flats to anyone looking for a great apartment community!

Overall, I’ve had a good living experience here. The maintenance team is very responsive and efficient. When my washer started leaking, I submitted a work order, and they came within 24 hours to fix it. The only area for improvement would be more timely snow plowing during the winter time.

Our daughter's apartment flooded due to the negligence of an upstairs tenant during graduation and she could not use the apartment for 2 days. Her flat was uninhabitable during graduation, and our planned party had to be moved to a restaurant on campus, which was very expensive. Yet the manager, Suzy, charged her $400.00 for alleged damage to the apartment which preceded her tenancy and was not her fault. This 'debt' of 400.00 appeared to have been waived. 3 years after settling this matter with Suzy, a debt collector called us to collect on the 'damage' even though Irish Flats was uninhabitable and any damage preceded our daughter's tenancy. Beware!

Irish Flats has caused me and my guests stress. We were told that for football games, guests would need passes to park in guest parking, however that was not further expressed that it would continue post season. Recently I had a guest park overnight in GUEST PARKING spots and they towed their car anyways costing them $250 for a rule that was not enforced. I am extremely disappointed at the lack of communication. I shouldn't have to fear that if a guest of mines decides to randomly come when the office is closed that they will be towed. The point of guest parking is to be a guest, the process of registering a pass for their car is abhorrent and wasteful

I’ve had an excellent experience living at Irish Flats, and a big part of that is thanks to the property manager, Suzi. They are professional, approachable, and always go the extra mile to make sure residents feel comfortable and heard. From move-in day to day-to-day support, Suzi has been consistently responsive and helpful. Whether it's maintenance requests, answering questions, or organizing community events, they handle everything with efficiency and a positive attitude. It’s clear they genuinely care about the student community and work hard to keep everything running smoothly. Living away from home can be stressful, but having a reliable and friendly manager makes a huge difference.
