I had one of the worst rental experiences with HERE Seattle and their agent Uhomes. Before signing the lease, the agent showed us an official floor plan and repeatedly confirmed that the unit would have two windows in Room A, a bathroom window in Room B, and that the layout and size matched the plan. These details were the main reasons why my roommate and I decided to rent here. However, after moving in, we were shocked to find that the actual apartment was completely different from what was promised: • Room A has only one window and almost no natural light. • Room B’s bathroom has no window at all, and the room is much smaller than described. • The overall layout does not match the floor plan we were given. To make matters worse, the apartment was delivered in a very dirty condition, with hair and debris in drawers, stains and hair in the bathtub, and dusty surfaces everywhere. I suffer from claustrophobia, and the lack of windows and light has made my mental health much worse — I experience anxiety and frequent nightmares. We also have to spend extra money on temporary accommodation while looking for alternatives. The agency admitted they had “confirmed the unit layout with the property” before booking, but they have not provided any solution. We asked for a unit change, rent reduction, or lease termination without penalty, but nothing has been resolved. I also emailed the apartment management several times, but they completely ignored my messages and never responded. ⚠️ If you care about honesty, accurate information, and basic living conditions, I strongly recommend avoiding this property and this agency. They misrepresented the apartment, ignored our concerns, and provided unacceptable service. I really wanted to respond to HERE Seattle’s comment, but since I can’t reply directly, I can only update my rating. Their office never picks up the phone — ever. I emailed them six or seven times across three weeks, and all I got back was one short reply saying there were no available 2b2b units and they couldn’t help us switch rooms. I’ve talked to several classmates about living here, and honestly, everyone has heard how bad this place is. Once you move in, good luck getting anyone to answer your emails — they just stop responding completely. It’s honestly terrible.

The best part of the HERE are the wonderful staff. I want to especially highlight Brandon who was so kind, funny, and handled all our inquiries beautifully. He is the GOAT🙌🐐🏳️‍🌈

I lived here for a year, and unfortunately this has been the worst lease renewal experience I’ve had. We accepted a renewal offer through the Resident Portal in May. However, we never received any follow-up notification or reminder that there was an additional lease document requiring signature. There was also no lease-signing document history visible in our Resident Portal or email, so we reasonably believed the renewal had been completed. We only found out our renewal had not been finalized when the office contacted us again later to renew — by then, the monthly rent had increased by $30. After speaking with management, they acknowledged that their notification/reminder had not gone through. However, despite this communication failure on their side, they refused to honor the original renewal rate or offer any accommodation. I understand policies exist, but this situation was caused by a system or management communication issue rather than tenant inaction. It was disappointing to be told that the only option was to accept the higher price or move out. I’m sharing this experience so future residents know to double-check every step of the renewal process and not assume acceptance in the portal means everything is complete.

Overall, I've had a positive experience living here. The staff has been consistently friendly and helpful, and any issues that come up have been addressed quickly. The amenities are solid, the building itself is pretty quiet, and the location is great for getting to campus. The only downside is that the street itself can feel a little unsafe at times, but the apartment overall has been a good place to live.

I’ve had a great experience living at HERE Seattle. The building is clean, modern, and the amenities are really well maintained. The location is super convenient and makes getting around easy. Huge shoutout to Gavin — he’s been incredibly helpful, friendly, and quick to respond whenever I needed anything. Definitely recommend HERE Seattle to anyone looking for a comfortable place to live!
