Commodore Duchess Apartments, seattle-wa

Commodore duchess has been the best place to live for grad school! I’ve lived here for two years. Great location, very quiet, maintenance responds to requests fast. Kirk and Andy (managers) are very friendly and respond to emails quickly. If you’re a student and looking for housing right next to campus then I highly recommend!

I had a wonderful time living here as a graduate student. Management is attentive and very responsive to any concerns.

I've been very happy to call this place home for two years and will be sad to leave when I'm not a student. I live on the south side and I think it is probably the quietest. If you live on the east, I can imagine it would be noisy with the buses. The management is great. I feel very safe here. It's pretty expensive, but given what I have (french doors, hardwood floors, free ethernet, partial view, great location) I have been very happy with it.

Lived there for 1.5 years when doing my master's degree at UW. Managers are cool, neighbors are polite, the whole building is clean, safe, and warm (in Winter). Utilities and internet are subsidized(UW internet, so it could directly connect to my departmental servers without using vpn). In the beginning, I felt the clapping pipes were annoying, but I got used to it very quickly. It is walking distance from CDA to most of the classrooms. It may not be a typical type of apartment to live(for example, parking suffers a bit, no range hood), but if you are student seeking a place to crash and want to spend most of your time pursuing degrees at UW, go for it!

My friend from the building and I moved out in July and have not gotten our move out deposit back, it’s December now. If you don’t ask for it they won’t give it to you. Very fraudulent and scammy. Almost went to court but figured it wasn’t worth the trouble BECAUSE their lease has a clause that says tenants are required to pay for landlord attorney fees. Not worth having to pay that to involve small claims court. Terrible management. Sad because I loved the place. Blanton Turner: you need to take out existing staff running the place. And give HFS at least some control over the leasing process.
