Genionely, the only benefit of living here is how close it is to campus. The rental rates are absolutely predatory for what they provide (its nearly 1,600 to share an apartment with 3 other people. Thats over 6,000 for ONE apartment). The elevators dont work for half of the year, and they haven't fixed one side of the elevators in the building the entirety of the summer. Disabled? Good luck. There hasn't been an entire month the trash chutes have worked here. They're constantly broken, meaning the trash is either spilling out of the trash room, or the floor is sticky (and, honestly, a biohazard). This means there are days the entire floor smells like garbage. The management is absolutely unresponsive to email communication, and you cant rely on the student workers at the desks (love them to death) to have the answers to your questions. Haven't paid your rent in one day? You'll get the email immediately. Need assistance with any questions or concerns? Radio silence. Unless you're a student who somehow lives here and doesn't touch a single centimeter of the property, they charge you when you move out. Cleaning, repairs (that I'd argue are routine) will absolutely be charged to you after move-out. Imagine paying that EVERY YEAR if you're a student who moves out during the Summer. Not to mention, they absolutely will charge you for repairs during the years if they deem it out of the ordinary. The noise. Yes, I get it, theyre building a new apartment complex and growing a grass field. But there has not been a single day in the past year my sleep hasn't been disturbed by the construction outside my window. They go from 5am to 5pm and I honest-to-god can hear the equipment still moving around at midnight sometimes. The BUGS. There are so many god damn ants on this property, and you are not safe no matter which floor you're on. This would not be an issue if there weren't a billion other things to complain about, because it's the one thing they actually do respond well to. Management takes 0 initiative to alert tenants of potential maintenence issues. I had someone from the first floor of the building come to my apartment and all the apartments below me to tell me about a backup in their plumbing that was being exacerbated by the people above them using the kitchen sinks. We have community assistants and a whole office of staff and none of them could've done it? They are stingy about student to student communication. They've banned students from the community discord server for speaking out about the things we experience here all. Which, by the way, that server is deleted now. The AC in the apartment is unpredictable and difficult to understand. There are times when I haven't manipulated the thermostat and it will either go down to 68 or go above the set maximum temperature. The front office is famously bad at explaining how to use it. This is my third year living in an ACC apartment and I can honestly say it's been an oppressive experience. I don't feel cared for and I fear being charged for everything I do, even if it's things that were caused by their negligence, my automatically assigned roommates negligence, or wear and tear.

North District Apartment is the newest university apartment @UC Riverside. Beautiful, modern exterior & interior design, nicely appointed furnishing, great location which is about 5-10 minutes walk to UCR classrooms.

Please don’t live here. I have so much to say about this place. Firstly, I’ve lived here since 2022, and I’ve stayed in the same room. It’s significantly smaller than the other ones (mind you I’m paying the same in rent as my roommates). My roommate was moving out so I requested almost a year in advance to have my room switched (it was guaranteed to me at first), and the when it was time to be give said room, I was told I would not have my request accommodated? Why? Besides that, the staff is rude, maintenance takes FOREVER for requests! I’ve had stuff broken for months, ants, and other issues and I’ve had to wait so long to get accommodated. The stairwell was covered in feces once! This place is honestly a dump! Lastly the elevators suck, they’re always broken. There’s 4 elevators, but only two of them go to the 5th floor (which I live on). One time the only working elevators were the ones going to the 4th floor and my leg was broken! It was almost impossible to reach up there and I had to stay elsewhere for a few weeks. This place is not ADA compliant at all and they honestly need to be sued for this. Overall, please IM BEGGING YOU, live ANYWHERE ELSE. There are TOO MANY ISSUES. I could keep going on and going on. North district, UCR, DO BETTER!

The management is horrible. Residents can only get a hold of student staff (that are not helpful) and no higher-ups. The walls are extremely thin, it’s rare to get housed with the people you choose, and the elevators are constantly breaking down. Not to mention the fines they put on your account if you leave anything during move-out (which you shouldn’t be fined for). They send people to fix appliances in the apartment that never actually get fixed. The WiFi sucks, the parking waitlist is awful, and the store hours are weird. Oh and there is a never-ending ant infestation. If you want a cheaply built, overpriced apartment that only looks nice because it was recently built, you should look into staying here.
