The Pines, rexburg-id

The laundry room was consistently messy and poorly maintained. It often looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while, which made doing laundry unpleasant. Since residents have to pay to use the machines, I expected a cleaner and better-maintained facility. Management should do a much better job taking care of this shared space.

The new management is fantastic, great about communication and geting on top of problems. The old management was not good about cleaning and left the apt messy for new move-ins. Service and ESA Animals are allowed and that has left the carpet in some of the apartments smelling like cat piss. But if the sent is in your atp the management are always happy to see you and help solve problems. There is no ac so bring fans. But other than those problems and the buildings being old it a great place in a great location with awesomemanagement.

Great staff, not too bad apartments. No AC, and the top floors are consistently 10 or more degrees hotter than outside, so the summers are rough.

The pines is a perfect example of you get what you paid for. The rooms and apartments are really small but the most annoying part is for doing laundry. The men’s apartment requires you to pay to use their laundry . Every time. And they suck. The dryers don’t work half the time and that’s without me even filling up half way. You would think with all the money they suck dry out of us they could afford to put a washer and dryer in the apartment but no.

First order of business: they are old apartments. Be ready for everything that entails. Now that that’s out of the way, the staff is awesome and accommodating, the location is great, and the community is really welcoming and down-to-earth. There are a lot of fun events hosted all the time— think free food, raffles, and games. For me at least, all the benefits really outweigh anything else. I’ve had a nice time living here!
