People will laugh but I lived in Colonial Heights 50 years ago! It was for college women back then, and there were 9 of us, instead of the 8 men today. Back then, it was $450 for the year, August through May. We had one wall phone, no dishwasher, no laundry in apt (a laundry house was across the street). There were four bedrooms, two upstairs and two downstairs, with full bathrooms on each floor and a toilet and sink on the middle floor. Upstairs was a large bedroom for 3 and a much smaller bedroom for 2. Downstairs was a large bedroom for 3 and a private bedroom for 1. Middle floor was a medium living room and small kitchen. It was close to campus and affordable and a no nonsense place…no luxuries, no real privacy a little run down but doable. Sounds pretty much the same way today! lol.

This is a budget apartment for those students who don't mind living in closer quarters with less amenities. I stayed here my final two semesters and it was old. However it was what I expected for the price. I was paying about 300$ a month for a private room. I would recommend staying here if you just need a decent place to sleep and don't mind living with 7 other guys

This is the least expensive officially approved BYUI Student Housing. 8 boys to a 3 level townhouse. Older, a bit run down, but very convenient to campus. I was very impressed with the quality and international experience of the roomates for my son. Official housing is inspected weekly for cleanliness.

The owner for this place is the definition of nonsense. I literally came and left the bathroom better than how I got it. But was deducted $20.00 from my deposit. When I came the bathroom had mold (especially the ceiling) and the window was filthy. The owner is talking to me as if she knows what is going on at the apartment. I used "10x cleaning power toilet bowl cleaner" I let it sit for more than 5 mins and it couldn't help the toilet. The owner is delusional and I wish she would go there one day and clean one of those filthy apartment.

I have been living in Colonial Heights for a year now and my experience here has been good. The place is a bit worn down and old, but it meets my needs. Management is trying their best to make sure the apartments are running fine, but it seems that the owners don't want to put money into the apartments. Why I say this is because I know of an apartment where they do not have a shower handle in one of their showers. Management has tried to fix it but for a good permanent fix the owners need to spend some money and replace all of the shower handle. The owners have known of this since August of 2018 and still haven't fixed it.
