Arcadia Apartments Rexburg, rexburg-id

Pros: Very close to campus, you walk across the street and you're there. The complex is clean and the manager cares about cleanliness, which isn't always the case for housing around the area. The lounge is pretty nice. Free laundry. Volleyball net, half court, and a little fire pit that you can reserve whenever. Rent (as of the time of writing) is well-priced considering everything. You pay rent all up front too, which is something worth mentioning. The apartments have nice spacious living areas with a cool flat screen and a cabinet. TV comes with a Roku so you can watch things like Tubi for free. The couches are a nice size and comfortable enough to fall asleep on. Bathrooms are a good size. Cabinets by the sinks for toiletries and other hygiene things. There's almost always hot water. Drawers under the bed for storage. Decent sized closet. A couple hooks in the rooms to hang up sweat shirts and towels. Shelves above the beds for storage. The kitchen has everything you need to cook like an oven, microwave, toaster, and there a good fridge (or fridges depending on how many people are in the apartment). Wifi is good too, I've never had any issues with it. The manager is super chill and nice. She's very easy to work with and is willing to put in the extra effort to help residents. Occasionally, she'll provide some free food, weather its a nice little meal or a desert kinda thing, which is cool. Smaller complex too, which only 12 apartments. Cons: The biggest con for me and my roommates is how HOT the apartment gets, especially at night while we're trying to fall asleep. There's no AC or ventilation of any kind, which is why it gets so hot, paired with the warmer weather. Although some windows do have AC units in them throughout the complex, that's only a few. It can get so hot that it's hard to get any sleep some nights, even when you do a bunch of stuff throughout the day and night to keep the apartment cool. The entrance (concrete sidewalk) to the apartment is broken down, which means for smaller cars you're scraping the bottom of your bumper when you're going in and out of the parking lot. Maintenance is slow to resolve requests or will just leave them unresloved. Sometimes the dryers in the lounge/laundry room don't dry clothes, so try to grab the ones that work before someone else does. The apartments are advertised to have 2 bathrooms, which is true, but what isn't advertised is that one of them is in its separate room (and that room is significantly bigger than the other ones), so someone (or a few of the people) in the apartment pretty much get their own bathroom and everyone else has to share the other one. Of course, you can still go and use it, but that's kinda weird to just walk into someone else's room or ask them to go use the bathroom. Bathrooms also had mold growing in them when I moved in. The rooms without the bathroom are also a bit small. There are desks in the room, but not enough chairs throughout the apartment for all of them. Also, some of the residents ride dirt bikes and motorcycles, which is fine, until they go in the parking lot exclusively on sundays to rev them loudly and ride around the parking lot seeking attention so they feel cool. But that has nothing to do with the apartment itself, just wish someone would tell them to be mindful. People will also work on their cars or trucks sometimes in the parking lot, so hope nothing goes wrong while they're doing that and your car doesn't gets damaged. Overall, this is a nice place to live. The close proximity to campus, price, good management, cleanliness, and quality of the apartments cancel out the cons. Although I can only image the heat issue becoming even worse on hotter days. That is why it gets three stars, because of how hot it gets at night to the extent that you can't sleep. But as I said, with everything considered, it's still a nice place to live. I would stay if I hadn't already signed a lease for another place with some friends next semester.

Though this isn't a huge fancy, aparmtent complex; I think for the cheap, modest class that it falls under it's pretty five star! If you like small and cozy where it's super easy to get to know your neightbors, this is a great place! Managers and neighboring tenants come and go like at any other complex, but if you're the right kind of person, you can make this place even more amazing than it already is while you're here. Plus, free laundry usage!

I’ve been here for 2 years now and i love how close to campus it is. there’s free laundry, a basketball court, volleyball net, and a semi-comfortable lounge. all things considered it’s still a pretty cheap place for being right next to campus

Absolute amazing management and amazing placement right off campus. It’s a 5 to 10 minute walk to almost any building on campus. Apartments are a little old and out dated but overall, amazing people and amazing location.

The price is very worth the value! Each apartment has a different floor plan, so if you end up switching, it's new and interesting. The managers are very polite and appreciative. They also are very much on top of things and help this complex more welcoming! The location is great as you're very close to the edge of campus, which makes walking to most anywhere possible and reasonable. Laundry is free at this complex as well which is a huge perk.
