-multiple laundry machines don’t dry your clothes, and it has been an issue for over a year, so it is common to see people drying their clothes all over the upstairs railings. - whenever it rains for a few days, or when snow is melting in the spring, the basement hallway floods. The laundry room is in the basement, and the more expensive apartments are in the basement, so it’s a pretty annoying thing. There are some good qualities. There are good amenities like a pool and small gym, and the people are generally good. Management is doing their best and will work with residents. Also there’s sometimes events with free food which is the best.

*Update: Emailed them- no response. And now it seems they are either faking 5-star reviews or incentivizing people to do 5-star reviews, which is illegal, but why would they care? Trust me, this place is awful and doesn't deserve any positive reviews. I'm not sure why most of the reviews aren't reviewing the place itself, rather some random events. Don't come here, they don't care about anything other than ripping you off. They don't care about how filthy the place is, about all the garbage, health concerns, maintenance issues, or feedback. Management is horrible. Very disappointed. The university should really have better standards for what qualifies as "approved student housing". How is this place still allowed to be operational, let alone "approved"? Irresponsible! Pros: Less than a 5 minute walk to campus. Usually pretty quiet. Has a small gym, which is nice. Hot tub and pool (although the pool never looks very clean). A campfire in the center of the complex that's always on (fire hazard though). Both lounge areas are nice enough. Have had only pleasant, but limited, interactions with the current RA. Heard he can be difficult to work with though. Cons: Was cheap when I first signed, but price is going up and it won't be worth it anymore. A lot of trash in the parking lot, I'm having to drive around it and park in it half the time. Trash all over the place outside, random socks, wrappers, etc. that's all been there for months. I never saw any attempt to clean up the trash, which is a bad sign. Have heard of others paying for parking but never getting a pass or being refunded, that's kind of a jerk thing to do. No AC, glad I'm here in the winter. Half the dryers don't dry well (if they do at all), I have to run my laundry through 2-3 times to get it dry. Dryers will also stain and melt some clothes, ruining them. The gym is convenient, but dirty. Most of the chairs are wobbly, which is very annoying. Dish washer is old and doesn't really wash anything. Wifi is terrible. The place was dirty when I moved in, as in weird stains and boogers on the wall and even ceiling, some mold on the windowsills, grease stains on the oven, things like that. Mold currently growing in the bathroom and on windowsills, some black (actual health hazard, potentially fatal). Fans in the bathrooms are low quality, pretty much just noise makers, which explains the mold. Mold growing in some places of the swimming pool room; there's a clear neglect for combating mold. The closet in the pool room is open often, meaning anyone can get in there and mess with whatever chemicals are inside (this is a huge health concern and I'm pretty sure it's illegal). Water doesn't get very hot. Small holes in the walls are covered with tape and wood painted the same color as the wall. The blinds are broken and falling apart. Every loud step and bang is clear as day and will keep me up and wake me up in the middle of the night from the apartment above me. Lock on front door is unreliable. Toilets have problems flushing. Cabinets and drawers are hard to open and close. No garbage disposal. Mattresses are also old with odd stains and holes in them and uncomfortable. Carpets are stretched out. Not much storage space in rooms. Furniture is old and feels dirty when I sit on it. Maintenance will walk in without asking if anyone is home, enter rooms, bother residents, leave dirty footprints, get chemicals on personal belongings, and one time left poop (I'm serious, actual feces that I had to clean) on the wall, and will still fail to fix the issue. We're expected to clean stains and mold for clean checks that haven't been cleaned in a long time proven by their stubbornness. White glove checks are a big scam to get even more money out of you, and there's always a 'service fee' when you have to pay for anything- Greed. Emergency maintenance number in the lounge on the office door won't pick up after hours, you'll have the use the one in the resident portal app. Several health and safety hazards around the complex. Someone is likely to get hurt and/or seriously sick.

The smash tournament was an awesome event, the pizza was great to. Enjoying the location to campus and the fact we have our own amenities, it allows me to swim laps without having to walk all the way to campus

This place is so goated. Fun events and I love the free pizza and donuts. The gym is nice, the managers are easy to work with.

I love Alpine Chalet!!! There are great amenities, they have fun events with food, the management is amazing, and the social atmosphere is more than I could ever ask for in an apartment. This is the best complex I've ever stayed at and most people I've talked to agree. I plan on coming back here for future semesters.
