Hands down, the best student apartments around! Everyone gets their own private, locking bedroom and bathroom, plus a shared kitchen and living space. Having a washer and dryer in every apartment is such a bonus. The amenities and overall value are fantastic for the price. Management is responsive, the gym is clean and beautiful, and Maizie in the leasing office is amazing to work with. Highly recommend!

I wish I could recommend this place but I didn't enjoy any of my time here. The 5-bedroom spot I moved into had a common area with 4 YEARS of dust, grime, and filth in it. They claimed it's because one of my roommates had been there for all 4 years and their company policy is to only clean the common area when none of the rooms have a tenant in them. I doubt that's the case, but if it really is company police, it's about damn time they revisit it. On top of that, the place I moved into had a "patio" area facing the parking lot. Doesn't sound like the worst thing in the world, right? Until you find out that they put metal fencing over the 4-foot-high wall separating the patio from the parking lot. I spent 10 months in an apartment with barely any natural light because they were worried about...I don't know, people robbing the place? Burglary and stealing shouldn't be a concern either, because they have gates blocking all footpaths and roads into the property, and those gates can only be opened with your key fob. Problem is, most of the gates were broken most of the time, which meant anybody could walk right in as if they were paying rent. To top it all off, they blamed us for keeping the fences open and threatened to fine anyone who they "caught" leaving the fences open. Except nobody left the fences open. Because the fences were all broken. At the very least the staff was nice. Mostly college-age and happy to help with any issues. The gym had a lot to offer too, and the package room was right across from the Wolf Den which made study sessions and mail pickup easy. But I'd give that all up if it meant I could get those 10 months back and sign a lease with a property that actually cared about its tenants.

I had a great experience with the process of leasing and a huge part of that was thanks to Maddie in the leasing office. She made the entire process feel easy which I really appreciated. She answered all my questions without ever making me feel rushed or confused. You can tell she really cares about making people feel confident and comfortable with their decisions. The republic is lucky to have someone like her on their team!

Sean was an AMAZING tour guide. Very thorough, patient, conscientious and mild mannered. Gave such a good representation of the property (and it’s absolutely beautiful!) cannot imagine having access to this type of place when I was in college. Don’t think I ever would have left! Thank you!

Affordable if you need a place, but the best feature is definitely proximity to campus. If you think you like this property, you won't after a few months. Everything breaks down, the elevators, the dumpsters, the mailroom, the gates... the price starts being too high for what they offer when you're constantly inconvenienced because the management slacks on every little thing. Current resident not even halfway through my lease, definitely got a lot of renter's remorse with this move. Absolutely not worth it if you don't attend UNR. The staff is always very nice and helpful but not particularly effective if you have any issues or complaints. They do also bribe people stopping in the lobby with free gifts (hats, cups, etc.) for a review, so a lot of their ratings are likely boosted by people who never actually lived in this apartment complex. small edit to add that the separate bed+bath situation is very nice and I've heard from roommates that management is accommodating if you need to switch rooms due to interpersonal conflicts. It's a good stepping stone for young college students and not the worst option around- but for the price you're paying for a lot of frustration when you might randomly be unable to access the property because your FOB didn't work and the leasing office hours are limited.
