The Grove Apartments Pullman, pullman-wa

I have lived at The Grove Pullman for almost 2 years. In that time, I have enjoyed my stay. Management WAS great. Responsive, helpful, kind. Maintenance was top notch! They loved pets and we were thankful to feel at home here. Having in unit washer dryer is a godsend, the unit we had was open, roomy and bright. The furniture was ok, but we used a lot of our own. The gym and the pool are an awesome addition. However the pool doesn’t appear it will be ready this summer… However, since the management has changed to a new company, The Scion Group, maintenance has been non existent, you can’t get ahold of management or the office, the office closes without notice, and the monthly charges have gone wildly out of control with incorrect billing, again with no response and random office closures, so no resolve. The grounds have looked like a dump. Garbage piled up, boxes and broken pallets strewn about, branches and plant debris strewn across parking lots, grassy areas for pets wildly overgrown making picking up after them a challenge, other tenants not picking up after their pets so grass areas REEK of pet waste, pet waste bins not replaced with bags for WEEKS. I am highly disappointed with all of this and will be ending my tenancy. I do not recommend The Grove if you wish to have a trouble free lease in a good environment. It’s a shame it went from a beautiful place to live to this.

**** Updated to ZERO stars (even though it makes me give one to post this). My daughter moved from one unit to a different unit in 2024 in the same apartment - all above board and the Grove gave us a new lease for the new room. We did not receive the deposit back and now that her new lease expired at the end of July, they are saying they have no deposit to return. Also they are trying to charge two cleaning fees at $90 and $95 a piece. I was there and we cleaned it and also left it MUCH cleaner than when she moved in. Total corporate greed and no response to why they had the pool closed, either. And go away with your AI and virtual responses. So disappointing. Also when we were there the grounds were so bad and overgrown and dirty and garbage piled everywhere. So my daughter graduated in May. We have the apartment until the end of July. We just went last weekend to clean her room and grab the last of her things and enjoy the pool I've paid for for the last 3 years. The place was a ghost town. They left a letter for her to contact them about move-out date on her door. There was no contact email or direct # - only an AI answering which said there was no one there to help. Office hours on the door said open, but not a SOUL around. No key drop off and the pool empty of water. Now, we have to figure out how to get her keys back. This place is frustrating!

I’ve had a generally good experience living at The Grove in Pullman. The apartments are spacious, fully furnished, and convenient for students, especially with the bus routes to campus. Maintenance requests are usually handled in a timely manner, and the staff is helpful when issues come up. Like most student housing, it can get noisy at times, but overall it’s a comfortable place to live with solid amenities. The location is convenient, and it’s a good option for students looking for off-campus housing in Pullman.

While the apartments are spacious there are multiple problems I've encountered while living here. One of the most being the management, which has changed and been better but historically they've been not all that helpful. I reported some issues when I first moved in that were never addressed. Certain people on the maintenance crew are kind while others seem rude and sarcastic for 0 reason. The prices do change which hasn't been my favorite, someone living in the same unit as me could be paying around a hundred dollars less and the lease once you sign is essentially impossible to get out of if you don't have someone taking over your lease. The pool was only open once while I was here and closed essentially the rest of the time. The mailroom is closed on weekends which is extremely unhelpful to students. So my review is these apartments are fine if you aren't a student. Hopefully my experience here gets better, if it does I'll change my review, but so far it's been subpar.

I have lived at the Grove for 3 years and have renewed for my 4th. I love the events they put on and the community they have created for the residents. Maintenance is quick, helpful and kind. They have low rates especially for the amenities they offer. I love that it’s pet friendly and the pool is the best in town. Overall, the Grove has been a great place to live!
