Glenwood Apartments Provo, provo-ut

**They offered me money to stay quiet about what happened.** WORST place I ever lived. They renovated our apartment mid contract and deemed our apartment as “livable” and said we could still shower and eat during the renovations. Well, we couldn’t even access our place and when I tried to enter to grab work clothes the contractor said it was too dangerous because of the paint fumes. I had to sleep/live somewhere else for 4 days, my roommates had to sleep in hammocks outside. We tried talking with management about it and they said they would give us $100 to make up for it if we signed a NDA (basically could never mention it to anyone) which we did not sign. Then they charged me for a missing smoke detector when it was the renovators that took it out to paint. I mentioned that to them and they said I should have taken care of it myself. Very dishonest management and not willing to take accountability about any concerns. Literally live anywhere but here. Attached are the photos of my apartment they said was “livable” they will probably reply to this and deny it all but I have screenshots of emails and text messages:)

Living at Glenwood Apartments has been a great experience. I’ve made good memories, met nice people, and it has truly felt like a home away from home. It’s a comfortable and welcoming place to live.

Best part of this apartment complex was the fact that me and my roomates got all perfects in Mario party- the leasing office was nice but Glenwood ultimately is a business and is focused on taking your money. For the price it was awesome, but they do end up trying to keep your deposit money on some tomfoolery charges. Additionally, once they did throw a French Revolution reenactment but that was not the actual Glenwood people, I think it was some uvu folks. Regardless, decent place to live college wise. If you look in the back of the French Revolution picture you can see the guillotine they created for this event.

I had good roommates at Glenwood and liked my ward, but there are way too many hidden fees. They make moving in and out a headache, and they refuse to answer questions or requests. If you plan to stay at Glenwood for the entire term of the contract and are okay with a few hundred dollars in additional fees, then Glenwood may be okay for you, but if not, please avoid Glenwood.

Don’t live here. The rent may seem cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. The only real advantage is how close it is to BYU. They’re literally charging me $30 for “three months” of broom rent. Yes a broom. I didn’t even know the broom belonged to Glenwood because it was already in the apartment when I moved in. I assumed my previous roommates had left it behind. If I had known it was theirs, I would have just bought my own broom. And they just add that charge whenever they fell like it. On top of that, expect random charges at move-out. And don’t count on getting your security deposit back, they’ll find a way to keep it. Overall, my experience has been very disappointing. The only reason this place is still in business is because they are close to campus.
