Honestly, I loved living here! Moving in and out was so easy! Dallin helped us make it simple and was really helpful to us and everyone he talked with on the phones!🙏

always smelled bad and was extremely humid. very overhyped and overpriced. it’s saving grace was the incredible views from the fifth/sixth floor windows, if you’re lucky enough to get an apartment facing the mountains. (photos are all from the windows of my apartment while i lived there)

College Place is owned by Redstone Residential, which is a nest of shell companies that take advantage of their tenants. They will fee you without transparency, charge rent after (!) you terminate your lease, and leave the property in horrible condition. First and foremost are the fees. College Place comes with a ridiculous amount of fees. Even requesting maintenance for their property comes with fees. They inspected and cleaned all of the apartments last summer without notice, and if the apartment was not in perfect pristine clean mode, each apartment was fined $500 split up between tenants. Nearly half of the residents protested this surprise fee, and nothing happened, despite the lease clearly stating no cleaning fees can be charged without written notice of an inspection. Next is their ability to take money that was never theirs to take. I sold my lease as I was getting married and needed to leave student housing. The agreement was signed and I turned in my keys on time. I then noticed that rent had been charged on my account for the month my lease was terminated (May 1). When I asked that they reverse the charge, they said they were unable to do so and to expect to get a check with my refund in 30 days. In doing this, they drained my entire savings account just four days before my wedding and said there was “nothing they could do.” When I asked to speak to a manager for Redstone, I was shot down repeatedly. You cannot contact Redstone by phone, you must be able to dial an extension. They will not respond to emails at their corporate email address either. If you go to their office in Provo, Utah, you will get nowhere. They are a sham company. Finally, the property was in DISGUSTING shape most of the time. Interior hallways had carpet that was rotting and smelled, there was garbage everywhere, and a mysterious green sludge haunted the parking garage. The apartments weren’t that great either. My dishwasher broke due to a plumbing issue and the maintenance team decided to replace the dishwasher FOUR TIMES IN FOUR WEEKS before actually admitting it was a plumbing issue. Then they charged me for more maintenance fees. The complex has also had multi apartment flooding not once, not twice, but three times in the years I lived there. They will put a bandaid on the problem you have and let it happen over and over again. Any time I tried to improve my experience with College Place, I was met with empty promises and false kindness. They would try to ask me about my life, school, wedding, etc. to try and be my friend instead of fixing the problem. College is hard enough without College Place. The only reason I stayed there longer than a few weeks was due to the location, but now that they have increased rent rates again, it’s not even worth it anymore. Save your pennies and go elsewhere, avoiding Redstone properties at all costs. The email they will inevitably post in their reply will be a dead end that will receive no response (trust me, I’ve tried). Oh, and any positive reviews here? Most of those were incentivized by gift card raffles.

Staff told disabled tenant they could park in disability parking spots, and then they were towed. Complex refused to pay for towing fee despite causing this. Unbelievable behavior. Even worse than the average big corporate landlords in the area.

I visited Collage place apartments in provo and asked a few questions at the front desk. The young lady there was so sweet, and helped me find my way around. Thank you Roxie!
