I’ve been here since October and I love it! The building itself is so pretty and I feel very cozy and welcome in my home. Packages feel safe in the lobby and you don’t have to worry about your neighbors at all - everyone keeps to themselves! Also the laundry on every floor is the most convenient, I always hated hauling laundry all the way to the basement. Overall a great experience so far 🫶

Drove all the way to Portland & Waited for 25 minutes to be shown an apartment. They no showed after sending me 10 reminders, they wouldn’t answer the phone, text or email. Don’t waste your time!

I LOVE My cozy unit in this building ... a big , warm , homey feel of some European retreat while tucked away in a hidden part of Portland The on-site manager has met all My needs and is graciously wonderful at responding when the need does arise The maintenance staff loves this building with gracious care ... and that is evident from the fast replies to repair work , home maintenance requests , overall knowledge of the both the building and internal/external community I took away two stars for the neighbors and theft . The neighbors are folks Who tend to be a bit messy in common areas , love Their cigarettes / indoor weed smoking ( the building does post a " non-smoking " community message on the front door ! ) and are generally afraid of being neighbourly . A bicycle was stolen from Me as two of the three gates to the building are broken . My storage unit in the building was ransacked and wheel lights from a second bicycle were stolen . I am considering moving given the high theft rate , trash around the building and numerous homeless camps

Made an an appointment to check out the apartments. No one showed up to meet me so called the office and got no response so left a message. Wasted my time and never got a response back or an apology or reschedule attempt. Most reviews online mention that the tenants steal packages and are not to be trusted. Also a lot of homeless camps in the area.

With rent prices the way they are, this is a pretty good value, but there are definitely trade offs. The good: adorable building, apartment layouts maximize use of space, very responsive maintenance, around the corner from a small strip of cute businesses, close to the Max, great heating, tons of kitchen storage, decently thick walls. The bad: entire building shakes on and off throughout the day due to traffic on Interstate, I-5, Mississippi and the train yards; tons of noise from neighboring industrial businesses; unfriendly neighbors in the building and only one other residential building in the area; very high levels of property crime. Honestly, the worst part was how cut off this little area is. You can't walk for more than a few blocks without finding yourself in an isolated spot where no one would be able to see or hear you. It's depressing not being able to walk places from your home in a town that's generally so pedestrian friendly.
