I strongly advise prospective tenants to think twice before signing a lease here. In my experience, the price does not reflect the quality of service or living conditions. It is not worth the price for the following reasons: 1) I received a $1,000 utilities bill for a month I was not even in the apartment. My previous monthly bills were around $150. Management was not helpful and only sent payment reminders instead of investigating the obvious discrepancy. It took me another month and significant effort to resolve the issue. 2) The pricing structure is unreasonable. At the start of the academic year, a two bedroom apartment costs around $1,800 per month, while in winter renewal rates drop to around $1,400. A 22% seasonal difference seems excessive and feels like new students are being taken advantage of. 3) I signed a 6 month lease but only needed 5 months. Early move-out was technically allowed, but I still had to pay for the unused time. Other providers offer more flexibility. 4) When I moved in (July), the apartment was in unacceptable condition, dirty, poorly maintained, and not ready for occupancy. Requests for deep cleaning were ignored for nearly two months. No compensation or rent adjustment was offered. 5) Packages were stolen. Management’s response was essentially “it happens.” The toilet made extremely loud noises for three weeks before being repaired. For a property marketed at premium prices, I expected professionalism, responsiveness, and higher standards. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. There are many housing options in Pittsburgh. I would recommend carefully comparing alternatives before committing here.

I'll give 1 star because of the location of this apartment. By far the best location to be if you're a student. So, thanks. Anywho, besides that, my whole experience here has been horrible. Even SOME of the employees are rude. I thought it was just me, but seeing how defensive management is getting in these comments lets me know it wasn't. The elevators are almost always down, and for me specifically, there isn't much support from the staff. I have called multiple times for help on moving out and helping me with re-leasing my room. As someone who is not from Pittsburgh and has only been there less than a year and doesn't know anyone, how am I supposed to do this on my own? I had a camera set up in there before I left, and Ive been getting notifications of people coming in, including staff. Im eleven hours away from my things. Imagine how I feel. I notified them. As for the staff, I would understand if they were doing fire alarm checks or something, that's a valid excuse. That wasn't the case, though. When I called and ask, everyone was acting confused and ended with an excuse that did not validate them going into my room. I am willing to pay off the rest of my lease in full PLUS extra for any made up fees because I am just tired of going in circles with Skyvue. Just let me gooo. I dont want anymore dealings with this place.

Not worth your money at all. They don’t enforce parking here at all. My spot was taken twice and it happened after the office was closed. I called off hours phone number no one picked up. I called some off hours emergency maintaince phone and they said they dont enforce parking. I called the tow company they never picked up. Idk why i pay 180 bucks per month for parking if i end up wasting so much time dealing with someone else taking ym spot. Management has everything out of control. They have no idea what community events are supposed to be going on (even if the schedule says it is happening), if the new projects are causing elevator issues, there was a moment when residents couldn’t go up to their apartment because the office was off hours and no one picked up our calls and all four elevator key fobs weren’t working because of their key fob project. If you live here expect to lose so much time dealing with these issues and literally nobody gets consequences. If you park here don’t worry you can take anyone’s spot and there will be no consequences because no one is there off hours to be enforcing parking. If you are stuck because elevators aren’t working (and the staircase also needs your keyfob and they disabled that too) make sure to stay inside the elevator hoping someone calls it to upper floors. They switched management staff maybe in June 26 or so and they have it way worse than the previous management. They keep switching their management and it just seems so random and creates so many issues because most of them are just lost and don’t know how to help you 90% of the time. Paying 2k for this stuff and management acting so lost and no one helping you when needed is the most embarrassing thing. All those emergency phone numbers are useless. I am so glad I didn’t renew my lease and gonna be out of here next year.

I have lived in SkyVue for seven semesters, and overall it has been a great experience. One of the biggest advantages is its convenient location—there are several bus routes right across the street that go directly to CMU, which makes commuting very easy. I also really appreciate the apartment’s design. Each bedroom has its own ventilation system, and the concrete ceilings provide excellent sound insulation between floors. The building also enforces weekday quiet hours, which helps maintain a peaceful living environment. The maintenance team has always been responsive and efficient. Since the new management team took over in January 2026, the service quality has improved even further and feels more organized and professional. Among the high-end student apartments in Pittsburgh, I consider SkyVue to be one of the best options.

When I first moved to the property it did have its faults but I was informed that they have come under new management (as of October 2025, same month I moved in) Since that very month the property has been making astronomical leaps and bounds! The staff is helpful and kind and very engaging with residents. Alex and Ameria have always been there to greet me and answer any questions with a smile. Emily the new leasing manager has been the most responsive and easy to work with leasing person I have ever worked with and for issues that needed escalted Victoria the assistant manager and Nicole the property manager have been kind, curtious and professional. While there are various maintance issues that happen with elevators and can count on constant communication from the staff on what is happening and a speedy response from their EXCELENT maintance team! ?Everyday I see the amount of hardwork, dedication and passion for their work that each member of the team is putting into their property and I cant wait to see what is to come and I encourage anyone looking for a place to stay and wants to be apart of a awesome community enviroment to stay here and I for sure know I will be renewing!!!!
