I've been living in a University City Apartments property for the past year, right in the heart of the UPenn, Drexel, and Penn Medicine corridor, and it has genuinely been one of the best renting experiences I've had. As a student, finding a place that's well-managed AND affordable in this neighborhood felt like a long shot, but Redblock delivered. The location is unbeatable. I can walk to class, the hospital, and 30th Street Station without breaking a sweat. Having that kind of access while still coming home to a clean, quiet building is something I don't take for granted. Adam and the team are incredibly easy to work with. Any maintenance issue I've raised has been taken care of fast, no runaround, no waiting weeks for a response. You can tell the properties are actively managed and not just left on autopilot like so many landlords in this area tend to do. As someone surrounded by med students, undergrads, and residents all looking for housing, I've already pointed multiple people toward Redblock. The buildings are kept in great condition, communication is clear, and you always know exactly what you're paying and why. University City is a competitive rental market and there are plenty of options out there, but if you want a landlord who actually picks up the phone and takes pride in their properties, Redblock Realty is the move. 10 out of 10, would absolutely rent again!

I’ve lived here for 2 years and it’s been a good place to live. The apartment is in University City, so it feels generally safe, and the location is very convenient. There’s a bus stop right across the street, and the subway is just a few blocks away. The one-bedroom is a great size for living alone, and the price is solid for the area. The management team is responsive, and maintenance requests are handled quickly. If you’re a UPenn or Drexel student, this is a great option.

I have been living here for a few months and it has been great. Everything inside is brand new as it has been recently renovated. Washer and dryer in unit is a huge plus. The closets in the bedrooms and in the common spaces are massive so you get extra storage. My room here in the city is slightly smaller than I’m used to in the suburbs but i still fit a queen bed, desk, and dresser comfortably! The study room is huge and not busy so you can get work done in silence if you need. Penn dental is a straight 12 minute walk from the apartment which is the start of locust walk that takes you through Penn’s campus. It is a 7 minute walk to the septa station. It is also a 10-15 minute walk to Drexel’s recreation center which is near the law school and library. There is also a bus stop right across the street from the apartment. If you choose to have a car, there is free parking around the apartment and I’ve never had an issue finding a spot. The rooftop is so nice and has an amazing view and is much bigger than it seems! Management responds really quickly to any requests you have too!

I am a doctorate student at Saint Joseph’s university city campus. This is my 3rd year living at 437 N 40th and it has been great. It is about an 8 min drive to my campus. Around 40th and spring garden you can easily find free all day street parking. The neighbors are really nice and management is professional and attentive. There is a gym and study/conference room which was really helpful for finding a quiet space to study and to get a nice workout. In addition to all the security cameras in/outside the building there is also a police station right around the corner which made me feel much safer. Would highly recommend this to students in the UCity area.

Moved into this apartment about 4 months ago. So far, everything has been going smoothly. Only a few small maintenance requests have come up, but they have all been addressed in a timely manner. In-unit washer and dryer is convenient. About a 15-20 min walk to UPenn campus (Penn GSE). Pretty affordable apartment relative to other apartments in the UCity area.
