The York, philadelphia-pa

Not sure about all the suspicious "great" reviews on here but I second the other person (Kayla) who reviewed here previously. This place was supposed to be done since 3 years ago but as you can see now, it's still under "construction" even though nothing has been happening for at least almost a year, since I go to Temple and cross here often. They've postponed a few times already with their "opening". As you can even see in the pictures of their banner outside, it says ready to move in by Fall 2025, so unorganized and reckless that they didn't even bother to take down or update it lol, or they just don't care. Looking around at the quality of the building, things are already falling apart before even finished. Cheap and awful materials, not to mention extremely ugly. I wouldn't be surprised if the owners are part of the fake shell companies that's been buying up and/or developing properties around Temple at inflated prices and then disappear (Check Philly Inquirer article about that). Pretty crazy that anyone would still want to live there, especially with that there looking to charge based on their website. Is it even going to be ready in time? Is it even still going to open? So many greedy scammers nowadays. I wonder why the city L&I hasn't looked into this place yet and shut it down. Save yourself the trouble and try picking other places around Temple, though they're all overpriced and overrated. The Vantage is right across the street.

Unprofessional. They told me two weeks before I was supposed to move in, after signing my lease that my lease was terminated due to construction not being done. And from looking at previous reviews, apparently, this has been an issue for YEARS. Very disappointing after being very excited to move into this complex. I’ve called their office multiple times for any updates, and received not one answer, not a response to an email, not even a callback from a voicemail. The York initially also had me sign off on an addendum, stating that in the case construction wasn’t complete, they’d be able to place me elsewhere in the meantime, but didn’t hold their end of the bargain… just to terminate my lease with little to no explanation.

Just toured recently, loved the place. The staff was super nice and helpful. They made everything super easy and were able to answer all of my questions. The units look nice and definitely signing a lease soon.

They will not break my lease. I’m posting this from my alternate account, but I have been fighting them to break it since they literally don’t even have a permit to build or to occupy. These people are scammers.

these people have not been done with the construction on these buildings for the last three years. they still aren’t done as someone who lives across the street from them!!!! save your money and go elsewhere, they broke my lease and said i couldn’t move in like a week before i moved here, then offered a solution that would’ve scammed me out of MORE money. avoid!!!!
