I was thinking of this place today and wanted too write a review. Dan( Or Don) I believe are very nice. I toured the property. I really liked it. Flexible leasing options and an affordable security deposit. I was a little nervous because of the distance from work and timing was not right as I couldn't see the unit that I wanted yet. Although I haven't lived here, I believe this would have been a great place. I wish it was closer to work(which I work throughout Philadelphia in various parts). Overall, I greatly appreciated their patience. Very nice people. Maybe I will swing back around.

I just want to give a shoutout specifically to the staff that is physically here on the property. Today I needed some maintenance done ASAP in preparation for a medical procedure, and Don at the front office worked with me to accommodate my needs in ways I really appreciate (he's also just a really great guy who knows all the residents, and Alex in the office was fantastic too, but just got promoted to another position). Bill came to take care of everything, and as always was kind and treated me like an old friend (and more importantly, he fixed everything very quickly). Dave, the another maintenance man, is also extremely helpful and really cares about the residents here. I needed my dad to shovel my car out a few weeks ago, which I couldn't do because of my medical issues, and Dave saw him and immediately grabbed a shovel to help. Thanks Bill, Dave, Don (and Alex)!!

Maintenance is awesome! Dave came to fix my refrigerator and also ended up fixing my door knob. Super responsive staff!

I really enjoy living at The Villas at Bryn Mawr. I've been here for 4 months and it's been a very pleasant, safe, and comfortable experience. My 1 bedroom apartment has plenty of space for me (living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and closet space). It was freshly painted and brand new carpet was installed days before I moved in. Maintenance staff are friendly, helpful, and respond in a reasonable time frame. There was no outlet in the bathroom when I moved in and when I put in a request, they brought in a contractor to install one within a week. The leasing office staff (Nick, Tracey, Tanae, and others) are wonderful. They have answered all of my questions and are always friendly. They host lots of great community events. I like that the laundry room is right across the hall from me and I'm right across the street from the fitness center. I also like that we have a lot of green space. We get updates on all the improvements and updates coming to our community, which gives me the feeling that they care about our experience here and want to make it as enjoyable as possible. My one and only complaint is that I can hear a lot of what goes on with my neighbors that live above me. I'm not sure if it's because they don't have carpets or if the ceiling/floors are a little thin, but that is the only thing I would change. I saw several poor reviews prior to moving in and I believe they have to be about the prior owners of this apartment complex, because I have had nothing but pleasant and positive experiences with the Villas staff.

Home Properties of Bryn Mawr are decent apartments, and the prices are about on par with most other properties in the area of a similar quality. There are lots of trees and green grass, making it a pleasant experience walking around the complex. Many units, including mine, have newer ovens, refrigerators, and dishwashers. Hardwood floors are a plus as well. Some units have washer and dryer in unit, which I would recommend (even though it takes up most of the closet space) because the on site washers and dryers that must be paid for are often busy or broken. I have made a handful of requests for maintenance and have always had someone out within 24 hours. The management does a good job as well. The complex is very well kept. The swimming pool and fitness center on-site are nice pluses as well. The biggest negative aspect of these apartments are the residents. During the summer, it is quite nice - many units sit empty, and it is easy to find a parking spot next to your apartment, go for a swim with just you and your friends, etc. From September - May, however, a majority of the residents are students, who often leave trash scattered around outside, and can be quite noisy well into the morning. The overabundance of people also makes getting a regular parking spot in the evening very difficult, despite paying a fee for parking (which can't be taken off even if you do not drive). If you use public transport, the high speed line is on the property, so that is a big plus if you need to go into the city.
