Editing to add unit photos/videos after extensive cleaning. 2B/2BA shared. 4 stars. The View at Montgomery is a good value, and the biggest positive has been on-site leadership. The Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor have gone above and beyond, and the front office team has been responsive and solutions-oriented with follow-through on unit concerns. I am not giving 5 stars due to the building’s physical and cosmetic condition and aging fixtures. Some common-area flooring feels worn. In-unit appliances show age. Example: microwave has interior paint chipping and rust, and the door screen/guard appears damaged from prior misuse (scheduled to be replaced). It also does not match the other stainless appliances. Laundry reliability is an opportunity area. New machines were installed, but the laundry vendor has been difficult to reach, and the app setup has repeated glitches, which can make the system unusable. On ADA/accessibility, the labeling can be confusing. Kitchens appear designed with accessibility in mind, but the ADA units I viewed did not include grab bars by default or a built-in/foldable shower seat. This is a building design issue, not a management issue. My bathroom is large with a tub, but the bathing setup still feels awkward from an accessibility standpoint. Finally, office continuity between The View and Vantage could be improved. During application through move-in I spoke with ~7 staff members. Everyone was kind, but handoffs can be frustrating, and I have heard, “I usually work over at Vantage.” Suggestion: keep a senior leasing lead over both, but separate leasing teams by property so residents work with true building experts. Bottom line: strong leadership and good value, with clear upside through reinvestment, laundry consistency, true accessibility execution, and better leasing continuity. My experience with The View at Montgomery has been extremely disappointing, largely because of the management team's lack of professionalism and communication. Before moving out, I received an email stating that my refund check would be mailed within 30 days. It is now almost August, months later, and I still have not received my refund. I have reached out to management multiple times, only to be met with dismissive responses. Instead of honoring the timeline they provided, I was repeatedly told that while they say "30 days," it's actually "more like 60 days." Even after well over 60 days, I still have no check, no explanation, and no meaningful update. To make matters worse, when I asked the leasing office for the appropriate email contact regarding this issue, they gave me the email address of someone who no longer even works there. That only delayed the process further and demonstrated how disorganized the management team is. Throughout this entire experience, I have felt dismissed and, at times, spoken to in an aggressive and unprofessional manner simply for asking about money that I am owed. No one has taken the initiative to investigate the issue, provide a status update, or communicate proactively. Instead, I have had to repeatedly follow up myself with little to no progress. At this point, I am seriously considering pursuing legal action to recover the money that should have been returned months ago. If you're considering living here, be aware that once it comes time to move out, getting your refund may become an unnecessary and frustrating battle. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend living at The View at Montgomery.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I usually don’t write reviews, but after everything I experienced, I genuinely feel obligated to warn future residents. The View looks great during the tour, but living here is a completely different story. Moving out was the final straw. Residents are expected to move everything out within 30 minutes, yet there were no moving carts available. My mom has a broken arm, and we were forced to carry heavy boxes and furniture long distances because there were no carts. When I explained the situation to the leasing manager, she looked at me and said, “Seems like a you problem.” It wasn’t just what she said but it was how dismissive she was. No empathy, no attempt to help, just complete indifference. That sentence perfectly sums up management. When I asked about being reimbursed for the money I lost from missing packages and the laundry situation, I was told, “No, because I’d have to do that for everyone.” Exactly…that’s what you should be doing when residents lose money because of building-wide issues. I chose this building partly because it advertised free laundry. The machines were constantly broken, then they replaced them with paid machines. I spent around $350 on laundry alone after signing a lease that promised otherwise. Add in missing packages, broken elevators, maintenance issues, and poor communication, and I’ve lost hundreds of dollars because of this building. The front desk staff and student tour guides have always been kind—they are not the problem. The problem is management. Read the resident reviews, not just the promotional posts. You’ll see the same complaints repeated over and over: broken elevators, lost packages, laundry issues, poor security, maintenance delays, mold, bugs, and management that never seems to fix anything. Save yourself the stress, time, and money. Live somewhere else.

From the second the tour starts, Zion brings a vibe that is infectious. He has this rare ability to read the room, match our energy, and made us feel so welcome. There are no awkward silences the tour when great and my daughter was happy everything turned out great. Thank you Zion wish you the best on your journey.

Moving to Philly as an international student for my education was a huge transition, but finding private student housing was made incredibly easy thanks to the amazing staff and support at The View. A very special shoutout goes to Ms. Jenna, who has been exceptionally kind, patient, and supportive from day one. From helping me navigate the rental process without a guarantor over phone calls to making my move-in experience smooth and stress-free, she truly went above and beyond. I’ve also had wonderful interactions with other staff members, all of whom are friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help with positivity and professionalism. Overall, my experience has been nothing short of fantastic!
