The Summit at University City, philadelphia-pa

Living at The Summit at University City was hands-down one of the worst decisions I have ever made. For starters the rent is outrageously high for what you actually get. My ceiling above the shower literally fell apart multiple times, and every “fix” was just maintenance dragging in a giant dehumidifier that raised my electric bill and did nothing to solve the real issue. They patched it up just enough for it to fall apart again a few months later. Completely unacceptable. And the staff? Easily some of the most unhelpful and unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. Any time I needed assistance, it felt like I was inconveniencing them just by asking a basic question. The leasing manager, Nichole, even told me to “never ask her for anything again” after I reached out about a simple concern with my unit. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how this place treats its residents. Do yourself a favor and do not live here. The only perk is being close to campus, and it is absolutely not worth the stress, the poor quality, the constant overcharge in electricity bills, or the lack of support from staff. You can find far better housing with far better people elsewhere. (and to summit staff: Don't even think about commenting some "if you have questions/concerns reach out to us..." on this because I tried the entire 12 months I lived there and no one cared.)

SIEMENS!!!! YOUR international bribery scandals and use of forced labor may be bad, but this alarm going off five times this month is what truly gets me. It's 5:00 a.m. and it's been going off for an hour. What about people with midterms? No other housing on campus Does this crazy stuff! This building is absolutely insane. These fire alarms are not sustainable. The summit and Siemens need to reevaluate what they are doing, and take a user interaction class.

Akshay was super helpful throughout my time at summit. He is my go to CA. I had some issues with my rent payment and he went above and beyond to help me out! He is extremely patient and will make sure your problem is solved.
