The Greenery Apartments, philadelphia-pa

I lived at The Greenery from may 2022 to April 2023. I lived in a 1 bedroom and full bath, fully furnished with new furniture for an affordable price. The Greenery has the kindest staff members, with all of them being very responsive. Mark is the property manager and despite handling multiple properties and dealing with many residents, he knew me by name and always responded in the most helpful way. From the very first day Mark has made my move very seamless. I moved from NYC and didn’t have much time in between finding apartments, moving, and my school starting. Mark virtually showed me an apartment, gotten approved for it, and signed the lease papers in less than a week span. I had a family emergency where i needed to take my family dog in for a week and Mark was very kind and understanding about it. I never really had any issues staying at the greenery besides just normal maintenance here and there. The building is very clean and well maintained. The Amazon hub lockers are very helpful! I had a parking spot in the garage, which is the main reason i moved here. After my program ending, I didn’t want to move back because I loved my apartment so much! Thank you Mark for everything, you’re the absolute best!!

Overall I enjoyed living in the Greenery. There are so many pros to why you should live here as a student. One, it's safe, you need a key to enter every room and even the elevators and the stairwells. Two, the building is very clean, the floors are clean and nice, the trash can be thrown away at any time per floor. Three, the amenities in each unit were awesome especially the washer and dryer are in each unit. The landlord is also very accommodating, down to earth and will help you if you have any questions or help!! I would recommend any student at temple to stay here if they are looking for a well kept, safe and new building! Hope this review was helpful :)

The Greenery is an incredibly secure and safe building for Temple students. Every door has a key fob in which you use to open, and there are cameras everywhere. The parking garage is also so convenient and reasonably priced for Philadelphia! Jasmine is very friendly and willing to work with tenants on issues they may have. Maintenance is always quick to respond, as well. The floorpans are spacious, and the kitchen is really nice! The Amazon Hub lockers are on the first floor are lovely and alert you when you have a package. Each apartment has a balcony, which is one of my favorite things about the Greenery.

I've thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the greenery. To start off, the apartment itself is very nice with great location near two Septa subway stations. It's relatively quieter than other student housing areas near Temple, but Philadelphia will always be loud at night. The management is so easy to communicate with. If you have any issues, those issues are taken care of quickly.

Update: We did have quite a bit of a mice problem considering how clear we are. Exterminators tried to help, but we ended up having to buy many mice traps to take care of the problem on our own...catching well over 10 in the last year and a half. We are located close to the stairwell, which is where the mice seem to be coming from. I remember looking for reviews for The Greenery while apartment searching and coming up short, so I hope this is helpful! I am a graduate student living with my partner and our German Shepherd in a two bedroom, two full bath. We've lived here for about five months and are renewing our lease for the upcoming year. Like many places in the city, rent can seem pricey, but it's a give and take. The layout of the main part of the apartment is very open with hardwood flooring everywhere and a balcony. Each bedroom is spacious enough and has its own closet and full bathroom. The benefits of living at The Greenery include their relaxed pet policy (many locations would not accept German Shepherds), elevators for the four flours, an enclosed garage (great for safety and weather, but is an extra charge to rent), and Amazon hub lockers for packages. Additionally, maintenance can be requested on the online rent portal and they are quick to respond! The property manager, Mark, has also been very helpful and available for us throughout our experience here. As for disadvantages, I wish there was a gym and an indoor resident common area, though there is a small outdoor courtyard. The surrounding neighborhood roads are a bit narrow and rough with plenty of cars parked on the sides, which is to be expected in the city, but the SEPTA broad street train line is less than a five-minute walk away and can take you to city center fairly quickly. I don't attend Temple University, but I think many residents who live here do and it is only half a mile down the road. If you don't have a car, Aldi and Fresh Grocer are easily walkable as well for groceries. Overall, I feel safe at The Greenery and I appreciate the quick and friendly help from maintenance and the property manager!
