The Courtyards of Miami, oxford-oh

I had a wonderful experience in my three years living at The Courtyards in buildings E and A (June 2022 through June 2025, year-round). This is the best place to live in Oxford given its safety, affordability, and attentiveness offered, and we had a great experience with move-out. This is one of the safest areas to be outside in Oxford as a woman. The Rec is a block away, and a brisk walk to most lecture halls takes 15 to 20 mins from here, while going out is 10-15 mins. There are an on-site laundromat, pavilion, and grassy areas. Many of the residents were grad students, and most tenants were respectful to others. I even recruited three friends from Miami who lived in B for their last two years! Amy, the property manager, was very responsive and professional, typically answering messages or maintenance requests within minutes or by EOD, and she took our concerns seriously. Mike from maintenance is so kind and helpful, as he works hard to resolve any issues that arise, typically the same day or the next morning. The both of them always say hello and look out for their residents (my car tires always had issues, lol, and Mike always checked in on me when he saw me working on them to make sure I didn't need anything!). There were no major downsides, and the only minor cons we noticed in building E were with circulating the A/C unit to reach the bedroom in summer (use a box fan to circulate and you'll be alright!) and hearing a bit too much movement from the upstairs neighbor (mostly on weekends when guests were over!). E was the most budget-friendly and it gave close access to the inner parking lot + the laundromat! P.S., the train tracks are very close (one house away from E), which was loud at times, but I *always* slept throughout the night and they do go past most complexes anyways (like the Verge, Gaslight, and Miami Preserve), so it wasn't an issue at all! So glad I chose The Courtyards :)

I lived at Courtyards from August 2022 to July 2024. I had a great experience with management, Amy Matthews. She is always professional. Mike, from maintenance was very quick to fix things the few times something came up and all around nice guy. This is one of the least expensive places to live for how close you are to campus. Preference to the upstairs apartment to hear less street noise and being able to sleep with windows open. You will hear the train due to its proximity to the tracks but ear plugs fix that. After years of living in Atlanta, GA, I felt very safe at Courtyard and slept like a rock.

This is my second year living at The Courtyards while I attend Miami. My stay here has been great! My apartment is super cute and more affordable than all the new places they keep building in Oxford. Manager is super friendly and I can't say enough about the maintenance staff. They have really taken good care of me. If you're looking for a stress free living experience while you're a student at Miami, I highly recommend this place.

The Courtyards of Miami was an amazing place to live! The apartment was updated before we moved in by the landlord Carolyn. Carolyn is the best possible landlord a person could ask for; incredibly kind, helpful, friendly, and honest. It's clear that she loves these apartments and the students that rent them. If any issue came up Carolyn was just a text or call away and the issue is fixed the same day. The apartment complex is well maintained, clean, and always being updated. The apartments are also one of the most affordable options in Oxford. I can't say enough good things about my experience living here and with my interactions with Carolyn!

Carolyn is literally the best landlord I've ever had. Was extremely nice, always responded to texts and calls right away. Always fixed any problems same day, or as soon as someone was available to fix them. She took the time to talk me completely through the lease and make sure I understood it before I signed, let me start moving my furniture into the apartment before my lease started, and returned my entire safety deposit fee. 10/10 wish I still lived there.
