MANAGEMENT IS THE WORST I have never been so excited to leave an apartment in my life. If you are considering moving in, please be aware that management is difficult to work with among so many other problems. I wish I would have seen a review showing exactly the problems so here I am. I’ll start at the beginning. When I moved in, someone moved in and had an ESA cat. Management never let anyone in the unit know and my roommate is very allergic to cats. It was whole mess moving those people out. Come to find out, management never had that room cleaned after they left. They also advertise the laundry room. I lived there from August to April and I had never seen the laundry room cleaned or the trash taken out. The machines are dirty, small and laundry is very overpriced. Often times the dryers never fully dry your clothes so you have to pay again for the dryer. A few months in, my roommate and I noticed some weird charges for monthly rent. We had been charged twice every single month for the same fee. So instead of paying $10 for an administrative fee, we were being charged $20. Management never sent out an email letting everyone know they would be receiving a credit, so essentially they overcharged everyone and didn’t do anything about it. My roommate didn’t get the full credit until she asked again right as we moved out. There is a shuttle that goes right to UVU which is nice when the drivers actually show up. There were two times that I stood waiting for the shuttle and no driver showed. Many times the shuttle would randomly shut down either leaving people with no way but to walk to school, or leave them stranded at the school. I ended up switching to online classes so I wouldn’t have to deal with not being able to make it to class. There was one day that I came home from school or work and noticed that someone was in my room. I walk in to see that two men are in my room checking the utilities closet. With the way the room is set up, the utilities closet is on the wall with a bed (my bed) in front of it. These men had moved my bed and dresser to the middle of the room. Management never sent out an email about maintenance coming into our units. The men left my bed and dresser in the middle of the room. I reached out to management, and then they sent out an email letting everyone know. They told me it was my fault since my bed is in front of the utilities closet…. They set up the room with the bed in front of the utilities closet. Management has consistently shown that they don’t care or are completely unresponsive. My roommate moved into the apartment in July and saw that there was mold in the shower. The mold was painted over before I came in. Since they didn’t fix the mold issue, it came back just ten times worse. I spent weeks reaching out to them to have them fix the issue. I sent in multiple maintenance requests (that were marked as complete) and nothing ever changed. Management stopped replying to me and told us to wipe the mold with a Clorox wipe. I kept reaching out as it continued to grow. The said they would send in a cleaning crew, but the lady that showed up didn’t go anywhere near the mold. Management is so useless, so my roommate and I had to clean the black mold ourselves off the wall and ceiling. I’m sure the mold will come back and they will just paint over it again. I reached out to management to see if there were any other options to move out if I couldn’t sell my lease. They were so unbelievably passive aggressive. They told me that I couldn’t just get out of my lease and I would have to pay. I asked if I could turn in my keys and pay out the rest, and they said they don’t offer that. I ended up selling my lease, and a week after they told me I couldn’t pay out my lease, they send an email to everyone saying that there is, in fact, an option to pay out your lease if you’re leaving for the summer. So did I give them the idea or do they just not like me? Probably both. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Good luck if you move in here. Check out the pictures of the mold, laundry room, etc

I've called Village On the Parkway home for several years now, and for good reason! There are many student housing options in the Orem area, but this is one of the few affordable ones with great management. The apartments and amenities are modern and nice, and the community itself is full of great people! Yes, there are occasional issues that arise, like anywhere else, but management is always helpful and responsive! And there is actually a maintenance staff here, which is more than I can say for most student housing complexes. The shuttle to UVU campus during the school year is an awesome bonus! I would definitely recommend living at Village On the Parkway; I've loved my experience here!

Great place! Super close to UVU and the temple. Shuttle is sooooo nice during the school year. Apartments are very nice. Only complaint is that the hot tub is always broken, and the laundry situation isn’t the best. But overall I have loved living here! Highly recommend!

Awful management. It’s not a horrible place to live if you enjoy mold all over your apartment bathroom and broken doors that the management refuses to fix. Also the fan in the bathroom is broken and we told them it but they never even bothered to fix it. Most issues you bring up to them, just say that they’ve sent someone to fix it but they never actually do. There is also a constant smell of leaking propane outside on the property which is super dangerous, especially since several windows don’t close all the way. If you don’t have to live here, don’t. It’s not worth it

I’ve absolutely loved living at Village on the Parkway. From the moment I moved in, it truly felt like home. The community is peaceful, well-maintained, and in such a great location. Any time I had a question or needed maintenance, the staff was responsive, kind, and helpful, which made a huge difference. The apartments themselves are comfortable and thoughtfully laid out, and I always felt safe and taken care of here. I’m only moving out because I’m getting married and starting a new chapter—not because I want to leave. If that doesn’t say something about how great this place is, I don’t know what does. I’m so grateful for my time here and would 100% recommend Village on the Parkway to anyone looking for a wonderful place to live.
