Alight 12th Ave, norman-ok

As a student who has lived here since 2023, this is hands down the best apartment I’ve lived at. The community is very nice and welcoming, and I never feel as though I’m unsafe when I am here. The office and maintenance staff is second to none. They are very clear and upfront with any questions you may need, and treat your time and needs with respect and urgency. I have lived at two different student apartment complexes since being in college, and I would not rank either higher than this one. Don’t second guess it.

Worst apartment management experience in 2024. Overcharging 300$ for apartment damages from OU university students is shameful and shocking. We left apartment almost as it was 2 years ago (see below). If the paint was missing, it was missing 2 years before. This was the most stupid way to get money from renter. They found imaginary damages worth 300$ (see their explanation).. Chloe Webster justified saying that they could have charged us more. Very kind words Chloe.. if I had a lawyer we would be in court right now and not on Google reviews. We signed a lease on a dotted line when they said there won’t be any electricity bill. Over the last 9 months they broke their own scheme and started charging us undocumented amounts of electricity bills. When we asked they referred us to Zego. We signed lease with Alight12 and not Zego. It’s all chaos here. They also don’t have exit lease clause in their contract. I had to pay for a 1/2 year without living there. I respected my end of bargain. Paid the rent regularly. But, they managed to surprise us with damages. Better not sign Alight12 lease. Stay away. Stay away. It’s time for management change or name change.

Have lived here for almost 2 years now and really enjoy it. Property is well-kept and in a convenient area. Maintenance and office staff are super friendly and address concerns in a timely manner!

I moved here for three weeks. It is an awful experience!!! When I first moved into my room, the carpet is very dirty and the officer didn't clean it. Both the sofa and mattress are old and dirty but the officers refused to change new ones. Furthermore, the washer, dryer, and dishwasher cannot work. We discussed with the office and submit work orders many times, but they told us what we can do is waiting. You cannot imagine we cannot wash our clothes for two weeks. That makes us almost hysterical!!! Even if the officers are very kind when we asked them for help, but it is a truth that our problems cannot be solved until now. In a word, this is an awful experience!!! They didn't allow our comments to post on the ins!

Super nice staff and maintenance is always available quick! Furniture was a little beat up upon move in but the amenities and overall rooms are great!
