First of all, Gael Olvera, thank you so much for the excellent service; you were always very kind. Also, I lived for two years in building 7A, Clobertin Ct. I paid more than other tenants because the building has a laundry room—well, the machines were so bad you had to repeat the washes because they didn't work properly, and the dryers were the same. I think they have a lot of room for improvement because they're the worst, you know! From the first day I moved in, I found a damaged, unpainted door, a waterlogged carpet, and damaged cabinets, etc. But since I needed to move, I had no other choice. Then I sent several requests to maintenance to fix those issues, but they didn't fix everything; they just left it half-done. I had to put up with a damaged, scratched stove. I requested a replacement, but they never changed it. Then water was leaking through the bottom of the windows in both bedrooms, and on those three occasions, the apartment flooded. My clothes, bed, carpet, shoes, etc., were all soaked. I have photos and videos that I sent to Ulices, a person who never did anything; he just ignored the messages. He only said to send a request to maintenance, and then maintenance would come and put a sad little fan on the carpet to dry it, and that was it. I had to seal the windows myself because they didn't even fix that. Two burners on the stove burned out, and only a few days before I was supposed to move out did they replace the stove. Then they were incredibly rude when I moved out and asked if they would return my deposit. They said yes, that they would evaluate the apartment, and then they charged me $100 after the... I returned the apartment to them in the same condition they gave it to me, with all the damage already there. And what happens? I call to ask about my deposit, and what? They say they won't return anything, that the $925 deposit I paid was spent fixing things in the apartment that others damaged before me, and on top of that, they charged me $100. They're truly outrageous, thieves, opportunists. They're the worst company. I lived in Arbors apartments, and I think they should learn from them about being a serious company... Arbors actually conducts evaluations and returns deposits; they're more honest, to be honest.

I lived at the 1010 lofts and had the best college experience i could ever ask for. It’s an amazing apartment complex with all the amenities tons of space great price too. First site always fixed thing that broke in a timely manner and I never felt unsafe living here. Close to campus as well so only a 5 min walk to my class everyday and the gym. First site did a great job at making my college experience easy and stress free!

My experience was kind of mixed. When I first came in, I spoke with Mallory at the front desk, and she came across pretty rude. She seemed annoyed when I asked questions and wasn’t very welcoming, which honestly made a bad first impression. That being said, Brayden, the leasing agent, completely turned things around. He was super friendly, respectful, and took the time to answer all of our questions. He gave us a great tour and made the experience feel much more comfortable. I think there’s definitely a disconnect in customer service depending on who you interact with, but Brayden was great and I’d recommend working with him.

I had an extremely negative experience renting through First Site and would strongly discourage others from leasing with them. During my time living there, staff entered my apartment multiple times without proper notice. One time they entered while I was asleep, and another time they showed up after operating hours. I felt so unsafe and uncomfortable that I ended up purchasing a camera just so I would know when people were entering my apartment. The last time they entered, they only gave me 15 minutes’ notice, which does not comply with the city ordinance requiring 12 hours’ notice. When I moved in, the apartment was also not properly cleaned, despite being told it had been professionally cleaned before my arrival. Then during move-out, I was charged for drywall holes that were already there from previous tenants. I was also charged for carpet cleaning and general cleaning fees, even though I had a rug covering most of the carpet in my room the entire time I lived there. Before moving out, I spent hours deep cleaning the apartment exactly according to their checklist — including the oven, bathroom, cabinets, walls, floors, furniture, countertops, windows, and more — yet I was still charged $315 in cleaning fees alone. Altogether, they charged me $580, took my entire $400 security deposit, and are now demanding an additional $180. I am currently disputing these charges because I do not believe they are justified, but I will most likely still end up having to pay them. This was by far the worst renting experience I have ever had. I did not feel safe living there, and it felt like the company cared more about finding ways to charge tenants than actually providing a good living experience. In my opinion, the only reason their Google rating remains high is because tenants are constantly pressured to leave positive reviews when entering the building. If you are deciding between First Site apartments and dorm living, I would strongly recommend the dorms. It was a far safer, easier, and overall more pleasant experience than renting from this company.

If I could give them ZERO stars I would. When my son and roommates moved into their apartment in June 2025, there were NUMEROUS things broken, scratched, patched over , etc. It was quite obvious that they had not inspected anything when the prior tenants moved out. Now when my son/roommates moved out this month, they are charging us exorbitant fees for the things that were damaged/broken BY THE PREVIOUS TENANTS. NO ONE from their office ever returns calls. Furthermore, my son and his roommates were left for an ENTIRE MONTH with a stove that did NOT WORK. Maybe instead of charging us exorbitant fees for items that were broken, patched over, etc., by the PREVIOUS TENANTS, they should be reimbursing us money for all the take out food 4 men had to buy when their stove didn’t work for a month! First Site is a horrible company riddled with corruption and scams. In response to your reply, we have requested numerous times from you the previous year’s inspection report (dated report with time stamped pictures) because one of two things happened (since several ((not all but several)) things you are charging us for WERE ALREADY BROKEN/DAMAGED UPON MOVE-IN): 1. Either you never inspected the apartment when previous tenants moved out or 2. You did perform the inspection, charged the previous tenants for these damages, then never made the repairs, and are now RE-CHARGING us for previous tenants’ damages. And the tenants were without a working stove for definitely more than “a couple days”. And if an inspection from the previous tenants had been completed (which I suspect it was not completed), then why was the stove not already fixed prior to these tenants moving in? To me, it seems like that is further evidence that First Site performed no inspection or repairs when the previous tenants moved out. I understand you do not like negative reviews, but I have seen many other parents commenting on Facebook posts with these same exact types of complaints. So clearly there is a pattern here.
