absolutely horrendous. they screw you out of every dime possible. they took a photo of a piece of tape on the wall and used that and similarly stupid things to justify upwards of $200 is move out cleaning fees. companies like this are a scourge EDIT: they also don’t follow their own lease agreements. example, in my old apartment with them we had 4 parking spaces. it was in our lease agreement that 2 were under our apartment and 2 were at a near by parking structure. the lease didn’t specify any time that we’d have access to it, only stating that 2 spots in the parking garage were ours. we didn’t have access to those parking spots for nearly a quarter of our lease length, it wasn’t until august that young american finally told us we could use the parking spots we should’ve had at the start of June. They are greedy liars that will do anything to make a buck. they hold you to a higher standard than themselves. they break lease agreements and squeeze you for everything you’re worth. STAY AWAY

So I moved into an apartment that they help me find and I ended up having health issues, which you know there’s a lot of things in Danielle and Ashton and all them at the office have taken care of me in many ways that it’s a great company they’ve gone out of their way to make sure I’ve gotten everything I needed. I highly recommend written from these guys. They seem to hear you as a tenant and seem to want to fix things for you so and Danielle has been great she’s she’s very compassionate person that finds time to answer all your questions.

DO NOT rent with Young America. I am a student at ISU and live on Locust St., my roommate and I have had a horrible experience with Young America so far. We have had cockroaches since the beginning of the school year. We were told they were doing pest treatments several months ago, however just last week we had 11 dead cockroaches in the shared hallway in our building. I have found two in my room, and my roommate just today found a one dead and one living one in her room, we have also found at least five in the bathroom. Several other renters in the building have reported the same issue and let us know that maintenance said this happens a lot in the building. The maintenance requests are a joke and continue to be resolved without any sort of changes being made. AND our dryer has been broken the entire year and does not dry clothes even with very small loads. All of the tenants have put it maintenance request and we are continually told to do smaller loads or simply ignored. None of these issues were expressed before we signed our lease. This is ridiculous considering the sheer amount of money that we spend renting this apartment. I am so disappointed in young America DO NOT RENT WITH THEM IF POSSIBLE.

Just toured and signed today for my grad school apartment- our agent, Kole Buckley, went absolutely above and beyond in helping us. I called just to ask about the website pricing, and within in one day Kole had found us three great options and an apartment that we are excited to call our own in a few months. Everything was very simple, Kole and Ethan were incredibly kind and amazing people to tour with, and we had an overall great experience!
