The Waverly, newark-de

I've lived in this community for the past three years, and overall I've had a wonderful experience. The property is well-maintained, and the staff has always been friendly, professional, and responsive whenever I've needed assistance. One of the things I appreciated most was how close the community is to the University of Delaware, making it very convenient for students. I also loved that the community is pet-friendly, which made apartment living with my pet easy and enjoyable.

My friends and I recently signed a lease at The Waverly for next school year, and we had a great experience with the staff during the touring process. Everyone was really friendly, helpful, and took the time to answer all of our questions, which made the decision a lot easier for us. One of the biggest reasons we chose The Waverly is the furnished units and amazing amenities. As UD students, it’s great knowing we’ll have places to study, relax, and hang out with friends. The property looked really well kept, and the community felt welcoming, safe, and comfortable. Overall, it seems like such a great community to be a part of, and we look forward to start living at The Waverly next school year!

If I could give zero stars I would. Have lived here since 2022 and it's been a nightmare. I've been begging them for months to do something about the excessive dust in my apartment because I am asthmatic and incredibly allergic to it. Previous and current roommates have had similar issues. Management constantly refuses to take accountability and decides to blame all issues on residents. The recent snow storm has also revealed they do not prioritize keeping the property accessible, and are willing to go as far as to punish tenants who face unfair barriers due to that lack of maintaining accessibility. The only good thing about this place are the maintenance staff, they always do their best to help whenever management isn't busy blaming residents for their crappy apartment buildings having problems. Btw I wouldn't believe any 5 star reviews on here, they constantly entice residents into leaving them as entries for gift card and other prize raffles. EDIT FOR CLARITY: I was not asking the maintenance people to come dust my apartment, I was asking them to deep clean the vents/filter area that WE CANNOT ACCESS because we aren't maintenance because this is where the excess dust is coming from. I've submitted multiple requests to this effect and all they ever did was replace the filters, which did nothing. You can see where the dust builds up on the area housing the air filter, and my air purifier completely drops to 50% clean or less whenever the heat/AC comes on.

Coming up on a year living here and I would definitely recommend the Waverly. They have nice amenities and do numerous events for their residents! Only con I have are the fees that are tacked onto every month for the package system and trash compactor which I haven’t had to pay for in previous apartment complexes.

I’ve been living here since September and I can’t rave enough about this place! The rooms are a nice size with our individual bathrooms and the community spaces in the unit are huge! I love the kitchen (I love to cook) and I’m glad that we have a pool for the summer! The gym is amazing and all of our leasing agents/ managers are great and very helpful! Another big plus is our mail room! We have lockers for when we get things delivered, I love how simple it is to locate and pick up my packages!
