Anthony is amazing! He accommodated to every one of our needs and made sure we were completely comfortable with everything. He has no interest in nickel and diming you, just making your selection process as safe and easy as possible.

Anthony showed us around the apartments and was available to answer any questions we had! Very professional and welcoming, you can really tell he cares about his job and creating a community within the building! Ended up signing a lease elsewhere, but would recommend reaching out if interested in the property and getting a tour.

TLDR - Deteriorating conditions, absent management, and rising rent prices. While relatively cheap, it’s not worth your peace of mind and the many frustrations. Choose someone else to rent from. I have been a resident of Howe Place for the last three years and while I used to always recommend people rent here, I cannot do that anymore. When I first moved in there were at least 3 maintenance workers on site while now there’s only one person who has to do pretty much everything for all units. It leads to a situation where it is impossible to fulfill the needs of so many residents due to it being so severely understaffed. Here are some of the many issues I’ve had over the years: - I have lived in two different units and both of them had mold issues. The bathrooms have no filtration system. Mold is a constant you have to live with. - I have gotten MULTIPLE splinters from the wooden floors inside my unit. Imagine not being able to walk around the apartment you pay thousands of dollars for every year without the fear of being hurt. - While they are now installing a new elevator, it took YEARS for that to happen. Even though residents had been begging for it since the old elevator kept breaking down. I literally had to call 911 to get someone out of the elevator because there was no one else on site to help. Again, this is not the fault of maintenance workers but of the upper management who have completely abandoned this unit. - The most recent issue came from this last Sunday’s snow storm. There was around 14 inches on snow. The surrounding apartment complexes cleared the snow from their parking lots by Monday (at the latest). It is currently Friday, and the parking lot has YET to be cleared. It’s been left up to the residents and the one maintenance person to clear up more than a feet of snow all by themselves. I scratched my car yesterday trying to park due to the terrible conditions. I’m literally unable to park in the parking spot I pay hundreds of dollars every month for. It is clear to me that upper management do not care for its residents or even its own employees (as they keep churning out new property managers and maintenance staff every 6 months - year). I wholeheartedly recommend anyone to not lease from Howe Place Apartments for your peace of mind.

Update Jan/30: nothing has changed. All administrative staff remains off site, the parking lot remains in the same condition. Since the last manager in charge left a couple months ago, it has become increasingly difficult to get in touch with building management, so I’m sharing this feedback here in hopes it reaches the appropriate decision-makers. The maintenance staff member on site is clearly doing his best, but with only one person responsible for the entire property, it’s understandable that many areas go without timely attention. This is ultimately a staffing and resourcing issue, and it falls on management to ensure the on-site team is adequately sized and equipped to address residents’ needs. This was especially apparent after the recent snowstorm. For security reasons, I’m not posting pictures of what it looks like but this was no joke, with snow that went up to the knees in the parking lot (>15”). Nearby buildings were cleared using proper machinery/hiring professionals, while Howe Place appeared to rely solely on manual shoveling, even though it has been already days since the storm. As a result, the garage in particular remains in a precarious condition, as the volume of snow exceeds what can realistically be handled without appropriate equipment. Given that parking costs nearly $200 per month, it’s reasonable to expect more proactive and thorough maintenance of the garage and surrounding property. I hope management will consider investing in additional staff and proper resources to maintain the building at the standard residents are paying for if they have any interest in retaining them.

BEWARE. The elevator is broken and has been for weeks, if not longer. It doesn’t seem like it’s going to be fixed anytime soon. It’s impossible to get in contact with anyone in the management office, they don’t answer emails and are not helpful when you go in person. The building isn’t very clean or well maintained. They also ‘don’t do’ prorated rent if you move in mid month, but WON’T tell you this before you sign the lease, so even if you are there for one day they will charge you a whole months rent for it. They will also give you no notice, written or otherwise, and lease your apartment out from under you. They are scammers, unethical, and intentionally misleading, management is useless, I would NOT recommend this place. Update. Regardless of any insincere canned response they may give you they still wont actually ‘address any issues’ or change anything and they have refused every attempt made to resolve anything. 07/02/2026 Update. They STILL haven’t fixed the elevator and it’s been MONTHS and MONTHS.
