It has its cons and not that many pros. Maintenance staff is super sweet!!! Best part of living here due to them coming a timely manor and overall good service. It’s close to campus to where you walk, bike or scooter. However it doesn’t promise anything else. It doesn’t host any events like other apts, they advertised the pool and it only opened in June when the lease ends in July. The pool is only opened when the office is open 10-6. The stairwell lights often go out and the emergency lights do not work when the power is out. The stairwell themselves are very gross. They say they clean the apt before move in but they do not. When moving in a found a blunt(weed) in under the couch cushions and food still in the fridge. Wi-fi will often go out for a week or two at a time. They will also charge you for living closer to the clubhouse which is messed up because you get assigned where to stay. The grove Utilities have changed during my leasing period and has it to where you will be paying for sewage, water and electric in April for the period of February. Whoever they hire to repair the roofs also left a lot of nails and debris in the stairwell and parking lot and smash widows so watch out for that. They will cut grass at 7:00am on Saturdays. .It does come with a study room, a gym, and free guest parking but if you can find other student college apt.

If you’re new to the Murfreesboro area and looking for student housing, I strongly recommend considering other apartment communities before signing a lease at The Grove. In my opinion, most student apartments in the area have their issues, but based on my experience, The Grove has been the worst by far. The rent may seem affordable, but you get what you pay for. The property is poorly maintained, with many breezeways consistently dirty and unclean. My biggest concern is the management. In my experience, communication has been unprofessional, issues are met with unnecessary runarounds, and I believe the lease has not always been honored as written. It often felt like I was being given conflicting information instead of straightforward answers. College students deserve housing where management is honest, professional, and respects the lease agreement. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend The Grove and encourage anyone considering it to read the lease carefully and compare other options before signing.

If there was a way to rate this place a negative I would. If you are a student or parent looking for your child a place to stay my best advice is to make sure you have your friends that you will be roommates with; people you actually know. Or stay away if possible. They have a no smoking policy and they claim to adhere to it but trust me they don’t. They will continue to send letters to your apartment but will never fix the issue. If you end up with a hostile roommate and you tell management that you don’t feel safe, they will ignore you or the front desk will tell you management is not available . Few times I had to look some where else to sleep because management refused to help. They didn’t want to terminate my lease and they didn’t want to move me to a different apartment. If you want a place safe this is not the place for you. It looks clean and nice from outside and cheap but will learn truly not all that glitter is gold. Best of luck

IF YOU'RE FROM MANAGEMENT AND WOULD LIKE TO REACH OUT, MY NAME IS HENRY GOGOLIN. I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO DISCUSS ANYTHING IN THIS REVIEW WITH YOU. Not the best, but not the worst. Let's start with the good. • Even with the hidden fees, the rent isn't unfairly priced for a college apartment in the Boro. • The maintenance people are responsive, helpful, and mostly kind. • The front desk people are helpful and mostly kind. • The gym, printer, and study space were convenient. Now for the bad. Most of this is directed at management except for the last point. • The fact that I started living here being told water was included with rent, only for it and sewage to be added to the utility bill a year later, is stupid and greedy. • Charging an extra $10 per month just for living next to the front office is stupid and greedy. • The trash pickup should cost less if you can't count on the pickup person to take outside trash on the specified days. • Notice of the specific days when maintenance will stop by for routine checks should be given. I shouldn't be in the shower and be surprised to hear the maintenance people to come in. • It would've been nice if the pool was open more consistently. It also would've been nice if the basketball court still existed too. I understand reasons for both of these, but I think both could've been fixed by having an app based gate on both for resident-access only. • Likewise, having a resident-access only app to open and close the non-working front entrance gate would've been nice. • More signage for the dog waste bins and more dog waste bins themselves would've been nice. I can't tell you how annoying it was to have to walk around turds. • The q&a you take for what kind of roommates you'd like was nice, but it should've been more in-depth. I say that because the roommates I had ranged from amicable to leaving a sink full of dishes behind every other night. But that's not the main issue for me in regards to roommates. One of my last roommates was chill until he started banging on his desk and yelling around 10-12 at night a few months before I moved out. It was so bad that I decided to crash at my dad's house a month before I moved out. Sure, I could've confronted him, but I was going to pack soon anyways, and I shouldn't have to tell a grown man how to act. I really hope he got the note I left and took the rest of his stuff in the common room before I moved out. Overall, I can only recommend The Grove if you're moving in with friends and are willing to put up with hidden fees.

I would give this place a 6/10. It’s a good place to stay for the amount that you’re paying but if you can afford more then look elsewhere. I moved in last May and I had roach and gnat problems. This lasted until maybe September. I spent a lot of money on roach traps even though they have pest control but that didn’t help anything. It was to the point where if I left to visit home for a couple of days, I would expect there to be a roach on my floor and in the bathroom. Another problem I faced was the WiFi. We experienced multiple outages during the summer and fall so it was hard to get work done unless I stayed on campus later than usual. They changed service providers 2-3 times. The walls are thin and ceiling as well because I could hear the music and people sneezing next door and you can hear the people above just walking around. Maintenance definitely was great!! I like how they respond fast and get it done in a timely manner! The trash pick-up service could be better. They charge $10 for this service but if they aren’t going to come by for multiple days then why am I paying still when I could take it myself? They be quick to give you a warning about how many bags to put out but when you don’t come when specified in the emails then they shouldn’t be complaining!!
