!! PLEASE READ BEFORE RENTING HERE !! I want to make this review to be able to save anybody who could be potentially looking for their first apartment or any apartment and save them from being absolutely screwed like my boyfriend and I were. This company is preying on young college student individuals and it seems like something fishy is 100% going on. When we first moved in, everything was fine we didn’t have many problems, but we very abruptly, had to move out and make a quick move to another state due to personal reasons. This was communicated with the Leasing office and we were informed that we would have to find someone to rent out the rest of our lease contract or pay out the rest of our lease contract, which was completely fair so we started doing as much work as we could to find someone to rent out our place, but we weren’t able to find one by the time we had to move out. We were still paying rent for our apartment in Silvertree communities while paying rent at our home currently. At the end of February, they called us and they informed us that there may be someone who would be interested in moving in and they were giving him a tour of our unit, coming up was the weekend going into March 1 and I asked them to give us a call before 1 of March so we would know if we would have to pay March rent or if that tenant would want to move into our apartment and they would pay march rent. They never reached out to us and we ended up having to pay rent and then on March 2 they told us that they already moved him into our unit over the weekend WITHOUT TELLING US and then they asked if we could still pay the subleasing fee, which was our base rent 1195. This Was after we had just paid $1400 for March rent they wanted to collect an extra rent from us even though they already moved someone in without communicating. We were very frustrated and tried to speak to the property manager Kandi and she was extremely rude to us over the phone, which we have a video of and said she basically didn’t care that they didn’t reach back out to us, and they still needed an extra rent from us even though we just paid rent. We said we just paid $1400 to you guys in rent And paying rent where we live now we cannot afford to pay you guys another subleasing fee When we didn’t even know this person was moving in and Kandis Response to this was “well i guess we will just send it to collections then”. We were able to fight this and they end up owing us $800. Well, since March, we have not received that check and they have sent it to the wrong addresses and they told us that we need to return the check to be able to get the new check but we never received the first check because they never sent it. We are still waiting on our $800 check that they owe us and they will not send it. There is 100% something going on shady here. I don’t know what kind of operation they are running, but it seems to me that they are trying to pocket extra money. Please save yourself from having to get into this mess and do not live here

I would not recommend leasing here, it has been problem after problem within the first couple of months living here there was a reoccurring mold problem that came back every few weeks, then The ceiling eventually started leaking, they patched it up then skip a couple of months the ceiling yet agains leaking over the shower and it has now been about a week since they started "fixing it" at the time of this review the whole ceiling over the shower is a big hole, and they wont allow me to break the lease despite it being a clear violation of "warranty of habitability" be careful where you chose to live. With that said the staff at the office are incredibly friendly and I appreciate their kindness as I have worked through these problems with them.Thank you for reading!

If I can rate zero star, I would! Our experience with Silvertree has been extremely stressful. At the end of our lease in August, they initially tried to reinterpret the lease terms to charge us more money. I had to argue with them for a long time, but they kept insisting until my wife sought help from the university’s legal aid office. Only then did they change their tone and promised that our security deposit would be returned within 45 days. However, it’s now been months since our lease ended, and we still haven’t received the deposit. This ongoing issue has caused a lot of unnecessary stress in our lives. I hope they can take responsibility and treat tenants more fairly in the future. If you’re considering renting here, please think twice.

I would not recommend, I had to fight maintenance to repair holes in the walls that allowed a raccoon to enter the apartment on multiple occasions. Maintenance decided that my ac unit going out was not a priority/emergency concern and forgot about it leaving us without effective heating in the winter, leading to frozen drains and apt temperatures as low as 60 degrees. All of this was a result of poor communication from management. Calls to the front desk and maintenance department result In a 2-3 day wait to have issues addressed and constant checking in to ensure they have not forgotten about the issues.

Silver tree is a great place to live! I have had no issues with them whatsoever and the assistant manager there, Ava was really helpful in getting me set up! Her team and staff were able to answer all my questions quickly and efficiently and the apartments are nice and in a good general location. Definitely would recommend checking them out!
