I was hopefully when this company took over my son's apartment from Middletown Management. However, they charged my son for the deposit after moving out. My son paid the deposit to Middletown before moving in. They said they had no record of it. Once my son explained this to them they said they would look into and get back to him. He was also told the person he needed to speak with "does not take calls or emails". What? They next form of communication we received was a letter from collections. Seriously?

Spacious apartments, conveniently close to campus, and great staff! Highly recommend!

I will start with the positives: The new management has done an amazing job updating the entire complex. Floors have been replaced, parking has been repaved, central AC has been fixed, WiFi has been upgraded, and rent is very affordable for the space on offer. The location is great, being so close to campus and the village while still being one of the cheaper places in the area. Maintenance is usually very quick to help out and get things fixed. That brings us to the negatives: The parking lot gets very rowdy on warm nights. People park in our lot to go to the bars because the tow truck stops towing at 6pm. It can sometimes be hard to find a spot, and once the bars let out its not uncommon to be woken up by the sound of a group of insanely drunk frat kids fight with eachother/the police about whether they’re actually drunk or not. Over the course of the combined 3 years that I frequently visited/lived at Chesterfield I’ve seen 2 rounds of upstairs neighbors be abusive men screaming at their children and beating their partners. The ceiling/floor of units is incredibly thin. You can hear everything above quiet conversation volume. Management is very hard to get a hold of. Sometimes it is even struggle to reach them via phone call in the middle of a business day. They also sometimes gives confusing instructions on how to do things. When I moved out recently I was instructed that if I was returning my mail key and parking pass after the front office had closed, that I would need to drop them through the mail slot with a new return address. I tried to follow instructions but the mail slot had been stuffed full of insulating foam and taped shut with duct tape. It wasn’t a huge issue, but it illustrates what I mean by sometimes they were confusing. All in all, there are some very big positives. Price is a big one. The WiFi set up for a place so affordable is also amazing for students on a budget! I feel bad for being harsh in this review, because I’m sure some of what I described is far out of managements hands, but there are some major negatives about location and community that need to be taken into account before signing a lease here.
