I moved into to Southpointe almost a year ago. My town house was so updated and clean. It’s a beautiful space. We signed a lease early because we don’t want to live anywhere else!

I’ve lived there for about six months and I’d say that the girls that work there have been super kind and tried their best to help me move out of an apartment I shared with my coworker. I had let them know in advance that I wanted to get an apartment to myself before the leases end and they said okay and that they’d be able to help me when leases ended. I was under the impression that they’d be able to help my case but they didn’t. In fact there was little to no communication unless I or my mother in law reached out which disappointed me cause I thought they’d be more on top of it given the fact that I’ve been with them for some time now. The apartments are amazing though for a good price and they’re super pet friendly. I just wish it worked out a lot better than what it did and I wished that they’d call me or leave a message letting me know what was going on.

I moved into this apartment and it was dirty from the start — the carpets, walls, and cabinets were not cleaned. I still have carpet missing in two rooms, with exposed nails. There’s also a large gap between the carpet and the tile floor, leaving exposed concrete and water damage. Both bathroom vanities are badly water damaged, and the caulk is missing around the kitchen, bathrooms, and entryway. One bathroom floor also shows water damage. On top of that, the carpet has had a strong odor since I moved in, and despite asking multiple times for it to be replaced, I’ve been denied. I can’t even get the missing carpet repaired. The only thing that has been fixed so far is my toilet and I have all of theses work orders submitted. I’ve been told countless times that they were submitted only to find out it was not ever submitted…. I’m so disappointed and I hope by leaving this review I can get theses things fixed…. I have documentation of all correspondence if someone would like to reach out… the woman I work with deals with a lot and is very sweet but things need to get done.

On the day of move in i could not access my apartment because they had painted the unit and the lock was stuck due to the paint drying. Waited an hour in the August heat for someone to let me in. There were flies everywhere when i moved in and still are here two weeks later. When i moved in, i took a shower and noticed the bath tub was clogged. Put in a service request and i have been unable to bathe since. I called to ask when my request would be fulfilled and was told “yeah just depends when they get to it”. Is bathing not something that is included in the $1086 that my unit pays a month? Does it take no priority? My experience only two weeks in has been awful so far.

Returned to Michigan after 45 years out of state. Renting at West Point Apartments until home is found/built. The staff of Jill and Elisha are fantastic. Extremely accommodating and very positive. Starting life over and moving from one end of the country to the other in your mid-seventies is stressful. It was such a pleasure to find a location with such a caring and helpful staff. Thank you ladies and Rick.
