The Reserve at Mt. Pleasant, mount-pleasant-mi

I was very interested in living here but it’s impossible to talk to an actual human. I wanted to set up a tour time that worked for me and not just robot Aria. I got one email for a human and she never answered again. I’ve called and no one answered the phone. Robot Aria said someone would contact me multiple times, I’ve tried to get ahold of a human for over a week now. I’ll be looking at other options now. Extremely frustrating. Update- I FINALLY got to talk to someone after I called again.

Do NOT live here unless you want to overpay for a run-down, outdated apartment and constant frustration. I lived here for two year long lease terms and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The apartments are incredibly outdated and were not properly cleaned before move-in; just lazily painted over. They will not show you your exact apartment, only a nice model apartment. On top of that, our dryer didn’t work from day one. Every time we submitted a maintenance request, we were told we were “using it wrong,” even though it was taking 5+ cycles just to dry a small load of laundry. It took about three months after move-in for them to finally clean the exterior vents, which was a major fire hazard and the root of the issue. I was also routinely getting sick from the pigeons and birds that were living in the vents above my room, and when I complained about the issue (asking for an exterminator) the maintenance man sent a short sentence saying there was nothing he could do and marked the request as complete. They also scam people with rent and utility charges. They lure you in with low rent prices, but then overcharge on utilities; there’s even suspicion they interfere with or manipulate the meters from past residents. What you think will be affordable ends up being around $600+ in extra fees for a low-quality living situation. I was charged over $200 dollars my self at times, and with my roommate over $500 in all with just utilities a month. My honest advice: spend the extra couple hundred dollars for a newer, cleaner, safer apartment. It will absolutely be worth it. Living here was a waste of money and peace of mind.

Really great apartments especially for young college kids. I will say the parking for some apartments could use some work. There is not enough parking for the amount of people in some apartments other than that it is pretty great to live here!

So so nice apartment in Mt pleasant! I have been living in reserve for my study time in CMU. I enjoy the apartment and especially club house that I can enjoy my weekends with me friends going gym and swimming pool.

Moved into a mice infestation & had to convince maintenance there were mice bc they refused to believe us. We had to keep mouse poop on our sink to show them before they would bring traps. We had no heat in the winter for weeks, our apartment was 50°. We have had no AC all summer (put in a maintenance request 4 months ago and nothing was fixed) yet our utilities bill is steady over $150 every month. We moved into a trashed apartment and instead of cleaning they sent people to paint over all the dirt. Not worth the money
