I spoke to Kaleeya in the office and asked her what the requirements were for moving in. She specifically told me that it was a credit score of 550 or above. I put in my application Friday 4/17. I gave them a call Monday as they closed at noon on Friday. I again asked her what the requirements were. I let her know that I put my application in. I explained I recently got out of a 23 year relationship and my credit wasn’t the best at this moment. I needed a safe place for my kids and myself. She again told me that it was a 550 credit score (Vantage) and above. About 20 minutes later, I got a denial letter. The letter stated they used company AmRent Consumer Assistance in the determination. The letter stated I had an eviction or judgment. It also listed that I had a 480 credit score or below. I reached out to the company for clarification as I do not have an eviction, or judgment against me. They confirmed they did not show all my report that I have a judgment against me or an eviction. The company told me that this property uses the Trans Union FICO 9 square model for reporting. This model at times could show your credit score at 100 points lower than it actually is. I called the Office back and spoke to Kaleeya specifically and she denied that they use that. I’m not sure who’s telling the truth. I did let her know that she should be more transparent when explaining to people that this model is possible. She was assertive that it was not that, and just my credit score (Vantage). I’m leaving this review to hopefully help somebody that may be going through something similar to myself. To save someone in my shoes starting over time and money. You never know what people are going through.

Nice, clean townhomes. My husband and I have been living here for the past 3.5 years. New owners took over last summer and it's been kinda gone downhill in terms of communication with the office. I've sent multiple emails that usually go unanswered. Office hours are terrible for people who work. For being an apartment complex and making thousands, possibly millions of dollars, from rent - they should be able to afford to hire more office personnel. But I do wanna talk up the maintenance guys! I've had to fill out maintenance requests a few times this past year, and they are always on top of it! They usually come by within 24 hours of making the request. Today, they came by to fix our dryer because it was taking 4+ hours to dry clothes. They went outside and cleared the vent, which was apparently 100% clogged. Very thankful for that. But going back to management, they need to make cleaning those outside vents a regular maintenance task as that is an extreme fire hazard. It scares me to think my apartment and everyone I love in it could burn down and die because of poor management.

I called the office on a Monday and talked with Amanda whom told me they had immediate occupancy.i was given a 30 day notice by our landlord so we had no time. so i met w my husband that day and we toured A11 and she told me to get my application in immediately that all 3 of us had to do a 30.00 application fee. So I brought my son back the next day, Tuesday and toured the same unit again and this time she said there was already someone getting the place but another one will be available that week . So Thursday I did the applications and paid the 90.00 in fees and Friday I woke up to a email saying I was on a waiting list. So I called the office and the lady told me there were 13 leases signed that week and could possibly move something around and that she me get back to me well I Never heard from her. So I had to sign a lease elsewhere over the weekend. Then they call me the next week and say they have one available. I feel really taken advantage of for my 90.00 in fees. No one told me there were so many people applying I was misled for this money and it’s not ok to mislead people applying. Why would you take someone money with no service provided. Very misleading!!!!!!

This place is just collecting application fees and nothing else. Many emails with no reply and when I call them they say we will review your application and then respond. Now I moved to another place more respectful than this application fees collector place.

The women in the office are so sweet! They were very informative and helpful with assisting me with anything I needed. They are also so easy to talk to and I can't wait to live there starting in the Summer. I currently live in Jamestown, but these ladies hands down have the best customer service within United Apartments! I would recommend a 10/10!!!!!!!
