Favorite place I lived in Mount Pleasant! The apartments are huge! The storage space in the kitchen and linen closets are very useful. Utilities vary but are reasonable if you are smart with your usage like turning lights off and keeping your thermostat at a reasonable temperature! The office staff is very nice and gets back to you within 24 hours. Would recommend to anyone looking for an apartment!

The bills at this place are straight-up ridiculous. I was barely home most of the time, yet my winter electric bill for a one-bedroom was $241, and I never even turned the heater on. Make that make senses. Literally 2 months on vacation electric bill stayed the same for both months The water bill never changed no matter how much I used, which is clearly questionable. Then the move-out charges? Completely out of line. They hit me with multiple cleaning fees and 2–3 painting fees over the smallest, most insignificant things. I even got charged a $45 cleaning fee for leaving a little bit of lint in the dryer. That tells you everything you need to know. What makes it worse is the apartment was dirty and borderline disgusting when I moved in, but somehow they expect it to be perfect when you leave or they charge you for everything. This place will nickel and dime you every chance they get. Do yourself a favor and stay far away unless you’re okay with getting overcharged and taken advantage of.

As a parent/guarantor of the apartment my daughter and her friends lived in for the school year, I had high hopes for this complex from what I saw on their website. Disappointing is the only work I can think of, after I look back at this year. The August rent came out on August 1, but because my daughter had to move in a week early (August 14 instead of August 21) to be a counselor at freshmen orientation, we had to pay a $150 penalty, even after a full rent payment that would’ve been only 10 true days living in the apartment anyways. When we got to the apartment and walked up the steps the front porch was bowing every time we walked on it. The front door looked like it had been painted recently with a coarse push broom. Overall, the unit was pretty clean, but the appliances had all seen better days. The furniture package was a convenient option for my daughter and the roommates. The space provided for each of them in their bedroom area was impressive, but everything (carpet, furniture, bathrooms, appliances) needed an update. Now let’s get to the interesting part, the electric bills. No one was in the apartment from Dec 10 - Jan 10 and the girls were smart enough to turn down the heat to a reasonable 65 degrees while they were gone. When they got back, they received a bill for $750 for the month’s electric charges. Their February bill was then $800, but they were actually there during that bill cycle. In doing research on the heating units, they were not meant for Michigan winters. They run constantly when it gets to a certain temperature. This should’ve been explained to the renters that they do not operate the same as systems they were used to. Due to these issues, my daughter and her friends will not be returning. I would like to thank the college aged students that work there for answering our questions when we had them, but the owners of these Copper Beech complexes around the United States need to take a look at the product they are building and overcharging college students for.

If you are into hidden fees, terrible WiFi, and subpar building assistance this is the place for you.💯 The apartment itself is nice for its base price but be ready for utility fees through the roof and random charges that far exceed the actual repair/labor cost. If you decided to sign the lease before reading these reviews (like I did), good luck porkchop.💪

They will charge you for items that are missing when you move in. Very unsatisfied with their communication and do not recommend this apartment to anyone. We had an okay time there and rent was high but apartments are bigger. If items are not an emergency don’t expect them to get fixed at all. Expect your utilities to be well over $120 a month each even if you take short showers and never have the air on
