Dinnaken Housing / UMFREA, minneapolis-mn

Lived in their Dinnaken and Argyle apartments. Great experiences in both of them. The apartments are nothing special, but great amenities, price, and location ideal for college students. I know a couple of folks that have stuck around after graduation because of how affordable it is. If you're a student looking for an apartment near campus, this is one of the top picks.

I have lived at Argyle for one year and at Dinnaken for one year, and my experience has been excellent. Although some of the equipment was a bit older when I moved in, everything was very clean. Maintenance was very prompt and would come the same day. Summer, Nicole, and the front desk staff were all very friendly. There is 24-hour on-site security, and the common lounge downstairs is cozy and inviting. The apartment management responds quickly to emails. I honestly can’t think of any drawbacks.

The couch is the most uncomfortable I have ever sat on. It is essentially a wooden bench with cloth on it. Guests have hurt themselves sitting on it expecting it to be soft. It is not soft whatsoever. Also they have easily the worst wifi of any place I have ever lived. Don't expect to get anything done online during most of the day. Daily and sometimes hourly the wifi will go down, even when using ethernet. I tried contacting the provider about getting it fixed, but it has not been fixed for nearly a month after I contacted them.

I loved living in Dinnaken. It is the most affordable place in Stadium Village. I lived here for 2 years. Conveniently located near the East Bank campus and next to the light rail and a CVS. The management takes care of the students and the property very well. The only issue I had was there were mice on the first floor but the maintenance/management was always responsive to our concerns. Otherwise, no complaints. Very safe and secure overall. I'd highly recommend living here!

I LOVE DINNAKEN SO MUCH!!! Easily my favorite place I’ve lived on campus. The leasing agent like actually knew me by name within the first week I lived there and the staff makes a point to reach out and provide fun and cute little things like treats during finals week and such. The front desk staff are all amazinggg!!! My unit is literally so spacious and I have my own ginormous beautiful room for super cheap. It probably beats most prices you can find on campus or in that area and utilities are SO cheap, too. Great location, amazing staff, and I love my unit and the large space we have!!! Couldn’t recommend enough honestly! I love you Dinny🥰
