Nittany Place Student Housing, middletown-pa

It is super nice living at Nittany Place. I am within walking distance of my friends and campus, and it is super nice to be a freshman and already be living in an apartment. Having our own shower and washer is dryer is so beneficial. I highly recommend!

To say they charge for anything and everything is an understatement. When I moved in to my apartment there was trash in the kitchen, dirty dishes on the counter, dishwasher was full, refrigerator had old food in it, and opened bottles were left on the counter. When I walked back down to the front office and a maintenance worker came back to check the apartment with me I was told it was my responsibility to clean up the mess. Now upon moving out I am being charged over $200 for cleaning fees in areas that are cleaner now than when I walked in for the first time. When I contacted nittany place about this and the response was “I reviewed your move-out inspection and it reflects the necessary repairs and cleaning.” The whole time I lived there the water in the kitchen sink was reversed and there were big holes in the kitchen floor that would spew filler dust if you stepped on them. Hopefully this dust doesn’t cause cancer, but knowing how cheap this complex is and how much they charge, there seems to be a high chance that it does. When I contacted nittany place about these issues post move-out, they did not respond and ignored that section of my message. You will never get your security deposit back and you will be charged with at least $200 worth of move-out fees no matter how pristine the apartment is. I cleaned every wall, surface, nook and cranny yet they still found ways to charge for messy walls and ignore issues I relayed to them. Unfortunately this is one of the only options for places to live at this campus hence why they can keep doing this. All photos were taken right after I unlocked the door for the first time.

I have lived here for about a year now and I can definitively say that I find Nittany better than Campus Heights. The apartments have a much more homely feeling than the ones they have in campus heights. Unlike their competition, Nittany Place offers a microwave and dishwasher which really sold the deal for me. The maintenance team are super great as well, within 20-30 of me putting in any kind of work order during open office house, the guys are at the door ready to look at the issue and personally I have never had a problem with them so far. Even the washer and dryer units are in-unit which is nice knowing because you only share it with 2 other people in your apartment. The apartment itself is quite spacious and I received it in a well maintained condition. There is a lot of natural light and the apartment looks very modern. The management team is always willing to help out and super friendly. Only issue I've had with them so far is their office timings, the offices close by 5PM and shut during the weekends whereas in Campus heights it closes by 10PM with the weekends having at least one person to reach out to in the office. Never regretted my decision to live here and you won't as well.

I've been living at Nittany Place for the past semester and I must confess their staff are super welcoming and always helpful. The apartments are also generally clean and comfortable, and the amenities are great. I particularly appreciate the peace and quiet at Nittany Place. It's a great place to study and focus, and I've never had any problems with noise. I really feel safe and secure being a resident at Nittany Place.

The living space at Nittany Place is comfortable and well-sized, with plenty of room to relax. One of my favorite features is having our own laundry and dryer. I love having my own room too, which gives me a lot of privacy and comfort. Overall, it's been a great experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to live!
