I’m not one to write reviews of any kind, but following my interaction with a young lady named Breyonie, I had to write a review in hopes of her skills being rewarded by management. Breyonie was so knowledgeable, patient & kind when I inquired about the requirements of approval for an apartment at Lapis. She followed up with me, via phone & email, even after our initial discussion to ensure that she had explained everything in a way I understood. Although I ultimately did not decide to move forward with Lapis, I sure was blown out of the water with her customer service & attention to detail. I later learned that she was a newly hired employee, which impressed me all-the-more. Keep up the incredible work!

Prepared to be robbed. They are charging college kids on August 1 for a full month of rent. Those kids can’t move into August 20 and then they are expected to pay September rent September 1 so kids are paying the entire month rent here for 10 days. They do not prorate the rate well that’s just what it is. 1500 is a lot of money for a college kid to pay and to be not treated fairly. Oh also having an en suite bathroom, they charge you an extra $75 which they don’t tell you about. At fourth Street, they don’t charge you if you have the extra en suite After paying rent, they just charged me an extra $75 for the en suite bathroom

I had an amazing experience working with Joanna! She helped me and my roommate sign our place, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. She was professional and always quick to respond to our questions. Joanna made everything feel easy and stress free we felt comfortable with our decisions. shes the best !

Had a great tour of the building by Jan. He was very thorough and professional. He answered all our questions and concerns. The building is very bright and airy and very inviting for students. I would highly recommend a tour of Lapis and specifically by Jan!

I've been living in Lapis for 6-7 months. In general, I do not recommend it for a number of reasons. First, financial reasons. I am an international student and signed a contract with them 5 months before the start of the semester. When I signed the contract, they didn't mention that I would have to pay for the first 10-15 days of my stay the same amount that I pay for a full month or even more. In the gym, for example, several exercise machines have broken down, which they have not been able to fix for several months. And they still are broken. Elevators. Only 3 elevators go up to the last floors, of which one or two constantly broke down in the first six months, and even now they are periodically breaking down. And sometimes you wait 5-10 minutes for one elevator. The grilling areas are very weak and are not being cared for, both even broke down at one point. Fire alarm checks every 2 months. It would be fine if they hadn't been checking it for a very long time during the day. But no, they do it at 10 a.m. and it lasts for 2 hours. For the entire apartment, the sound of sirens for 2 hours. And besides, false alarms are very common here. As a result, nothing happens, but the elevators don't work and you have to wait half an hour to get to your floor until they check everything. It got to the point where it happened 2 times a week. I'd come in after work, the siren would go off, the elevators would shut down, and I'd have to walk up to the 18th floor. Wi-fi doesn't work very often. This is a huge problem of this building. All students need a continuous and working network to write exams, for example. I remember some cases when students failed their exams because wi-fi simply stopped working. Despite all the disadvantages, I wanted to continue living here only because of the accessibility to the university, but when I wanted to extend the contract 5-6 months before the start of the new lease, I was told that I would live in another unit and prices would increase by $ 60. And I will start living only in the middle of August and not earlier. My current lease ends on June 27th. When I asked if I could start living there before the middle of August, they told me no. Where should I live for half a month before the start of a new lease is a very good question. That was the deciding factor for me not to live here. In general, I don't recommend living here.
