Definitely get what you pay for. Genuinely the most inconsiderate, incompetent, rude, "i don't give a crap about my job" group of people ever. There's one or two decent people in the whole staff. "Fixed" on maintenance request probably means more broken. Safety-related maintenance issues get left unresolved for months. Trivial things get great attention. You'll hear some crazy things if you talk to real residents. Broken windows might get left for 7 months, leaving safety issues and and crazy heating bills they say will get reimbursed but don't. There's columns waiting to fall over and squish a car, scrape the building, or hurt someone get left unattended, until one falls on your building and you have to let the office know multiple times. It's happened twice in the last year. Run down and mold in every single building. Leaky floors. Chronic allergies galore. And when you write a maintenance request about mold, they file it as resolved and say there's no mold. Sure. No mold between the 8 layers of decades old flooring they just keep covering up. You can be staring it in the face but it's "fixed." Other residents have had to bring city health inspectors in before Highland with deal with issues. And the renter's insurance they make you use (if you can't figure out how the heck to upload your own), Homebody, is so bad even the people in the office complain about it between gossiping about resident's credit scores in front of other residents. But hey, can't beat the location!

Gross apartments, gross staff in the office with their dirty bare feet hanging out on the floors like it's a barn if that's any indication of their manners or professionalism right off the bat. No amount of cheap rent is worth your health or safety and this apartment is undeniable proof of that. I felt sick ALL THE TIME when I lived here and I swear to god this apartment was killing me from the mold and dust nonstop no matter how much you clean. And then they had the audacity to try and charge ME for the mold as if EVERY SINGLE REVIEW DOESN'T COMPLAIN ABOUT THE MOLD HERE. This place should be condemned by the state honest to god.

One of the worst apartments I've ever lived in! They didn’t even bother to clean before I moved in because one of the previous tenants renewed their lease. The bathroom and common areas were disgusting. The management refused to cooperate, and the staff is rude and completely clueless about how to treat tenants with respect. Don’t even think about living here—EVER! I won't even give one star. Half star is even more for them!

Highly unprofessional and incompetent staff. Their apartments are disgusting when you move in and have numerous issues and flaws. Don't worry, if you take note of it on your move-in inspections, they still won't do anything about it or care. They add fraudulent charges to your account and then try to pass the blame and responsibility onto anyone else so that they can keep threatening to evict you unless you pay their extortion charge for something you didn't do. Stay far away. Office staff will bold face lie to you and tell you a manager isn't available every time you ask, and when you mention that to office manager Natalie, she'll call you a liar and tell you she's always available and her staff know what they're talking about all in the same breath. Lol. What a joke of a property.

I paid my rent on the 1st and noticed the payment had not yet been processed, so I called the office to confirm my balance. I was told that I did not owe anything further. Later, I discovered late fees were added to my account. Being told everything was fine and then seeing additional charges afterward is frustrating and undermines trust. Clear communication and consistent account handling would make a big difference.
