I lived here for two years. I was in the 4b/4ba flat. The Good: The only reason this is getting 2 stars is because they have really good transportation to TTU (the buses come every 12 minutes and are very reliable, they come every 6 minutes during finals season) and the specials you can get here are really great (I got 200 off my rent per month). The amenities are nice and the apartments themselves are higher-end for the going rate per month. The Bad: There is an active roach/wolf spider infestation. It has been here since I moved in and it was there when I moved out. The roaches will climb through the plumbing into your room. The wolf spiders will be on your walls, in your bed (Yes, I've found two wolf spiders IN MY BED 5FT OFF THE GROUND HERE), everywhere. The plumbing is god awful. My shower, sink, toilet, and kitchen sink were constantly clogged. I had to have maintenance plunge my kitchen sink, shower, and toilet all on separate occasions. I spent a lot of money on Drano while living here. The internet is usually not finicky, but I have had it go out twice during the school year. Normally I wouldn't mention it if it came back on within 4-6 hours, but both times it took over 24 hours to come back on. It's also super hard to get hold of the front desk and ask what's going on to get any sort of info on situations that happen at the apartments. I once had my water go out for over 12 hours and all I got was an e-mail from Wildwood saying,"Sorry!". The utilities are insane here. There have been multiple times where I get charged over 100+ for electricity ALONE. And that was when I was splitting the cost with 7 others in my building. Times are tough, yes, but my new apartment where I am only paying for my utility cost (1b/1ba) is around 40 per month. I do not understand how one building can cost approximately 800 dollars a month in electricity alone, not counting water, sewer, etc. when I've asked Wildwood maintenance, they usually say it's hard for the A/C units to keep up with ~70 degrees inside because of how old the units are. Maintenance is also unpredictable. They will do room checks, for some reason, even though these are advertised as student living apartments. They usually did come quickly if I had an issue, but sometimes they would mark it as fixed when they were not. If you're desperate for a decent place, you can definitely stay here and be fine. It's only worth it if you get the specials for 100-200 off per month imo. But there are better places in Lubbock that are closer to TTU/LCU and don't charge as high of a rate.

Lived here two years, not many problems except recently. They don’t keep up with updating tenants if maintenance or anything will come into your unit, they will fine you for the weirdest things they don’t see fit, and try to come off as a top tier place to live. They only get 5 stars cause they hold events for prizes to do so.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Wildwood. I was denied an early move-in request, yet when I was finally allowed to move into my unit, it was clear that nobody had properly cleaned or inspected the room beforehand. I called two days before moving in day because I knew no one had been in to clean the room. After many tries to actually get ahold of someone in the office (it is almost impossible to talk to anyone on the phone) they said for new residents' rooms would be cleaned. Shortly after my call they called my roommate who was already living there and informed her that they would not clean current residents rooms implying that I was already living there (I had not received any keys yet implying I was not a current resident yet). They had no idea that I was a new resident, which shows how unfit the employees and management are for the job. The room was absolutely disgusting. There was trash left behind everywhere, disgusting stains dripping down the walls, cat and dog food shoved under the baseboards, chewed marks on baseboards from a pet. There was pink hair dye stained down the bathroom cabinets and floor, clothes in the dresser from the previous resident. It was absolutely disgusting and looked as though no one had taken the time to prepare the room for a new resident. The fact that management thought it was acceptable to hand over a room in that condition is unacceptable. What was even more frustrating was the complete lack of accountability. Management was not nice at all and was not apologetic at all. I never once received a apology from their mistakes and allowing someone to move into a disgusting space like that. Especially having to move all by yourself and seeing that this is your new home was completely frustrating with how much money I paid for rent and the deposits before moving in. Cleaning and inspecting a unit before move-in is the bare minimum expectation for any apartment complex. The maintenance staff only added to the frustration. Multiple times when I reported issues, I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude. Rather than listening and trying to understand the problem, they often spoke to me as if I didn’t know what I was talking about. Those interactions were uncomfortable, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. They are also extremely slow with getting mail out so if you have anything important don't expect to get it in a timely manner. My parents mailed me my car registration sticker and after confirming with my parents that it had been delivered it had been 3+ weeks of me checking my mailbox every week before I had to go and ask the very rude girl at the desk if there was any mail for me. She came back with a huge stack of mail for me they had been holding onto and claimed it was just about to get put in the mailboxes. Wildwood needs to take resident concerns more seriously. No resident should move into a room covered in trash, stains, and leftover pet food, and no resident should feel belittled when asking for maintenance help. My experience showed a lack of attention to detail, poor communication, and a concerning lack of respect for tenants. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues for future residents because what I experienced was unacceptable and I would never wish that upon anyone else.

I have lived at Wildwood for 2 years now and I love it! The units are nice, the amenities are great, and the staff is very friendly. My only complaint would be maintenance, but we just got a new maintenance team from what I have heard so I have high hopes! Everyone that asks me where to live, I recommend Wildwood and even got two of my friends to sign with me this year!

Do not do it. My daughters had multiple maintenance issues during the year that were never fixed, despite work orders and multiple communications with the front office. The maintenance orders stated the issue was fixed, but they did not actually fix anything. EXTREMELY low water pressure, refrigerator freezing all of the food for the entire time my daughters lived there, and a broken a/c that took a week to fix in the middle of summer. A credit was offered by employees in the office, but never actually given. A manager was told to call my daughters about the issues, but they never did.
