1st leasing year was okay, although I was without AC for the first two weeks (my thermostat literally maxed out at 99 during these days). Other than that, it was fine. However, I started a short term lease for this second year and even though I am paying almost $1000 to live at a 4 bedroom apartment, the service has been so much worse. They returned a $130 package because my name wasn’t in the right spot (my name was still there, just in smaller lettering) and instead of just holding the package for at least a week to give me a chance to pick it up and let me verify it was mine they just returned it to usps and because of it the package is now lost and it was not an item that could be easily replaced. My XL closet racks fell down and has not been fixed and it’s been almost a month. I was told I would have to wait for any of my maintenance requests to be fixed until new residents moved in. Well it has been 20 days since new resident move in and still nothing. They are still telling me because of their “mass move in” that they still aren’t available to fix any of me or my roommates issues. Unless you are a new resident, you do not matter. The people who work the front office phones have been kind any time they’ve spoken to me, but that’s not much to say compared to everything else that has gone wrong. Pool has been closed all summer with no explanation besides “maintenance issues”. I am counting the days when I get to move out in December. The extra rent is worth getting to leave this place earlier. I read the one star reviews right before I moved in and I should have listened to be honest. I’m paying more here than I would have at a 1 bedroom apartment with a way better maintenance system. Don’t move here it is not worth the stress. Update November 2025: By the way they also like to charge $250 if one of your ROOMMATES, not you, has an unregistered dog. It’s genuinely greedy behavior, I have less than a month until I move out and I am so excited. Update December 2025: I am moved out and they charged me $360 for “cleaning” and “damages”, which I’m sure most of the damages are from how many times my closet fell down due to their poor maintenance.

I would not choose to live here again. When I moved in the house was absolutely filthy. My mattress was brown from all the dust that was on it (mind you the mattresses are blue). Our couches are full of cat scratches from the previous renters and were not replaced. Our carpet is absolutely disgusting, even ripped at some of my roommates doors. For move out, they expect the house to be in prestige condition or they’ll charge us for every imperfection. Like okay understandable, but my house should’ve been like that when I moved in and it clearly wasn’t. They have all this time to do walk throughs to make sure each house is clean before new tenants move in, but that’s not the case. I almost got fined $250 just for having 2 dog toys in my room when they came to inspect. I let management know that the toys were in there due to my family dog visiting me when my parents came to town and they still were going to fine me the $250 if I didn’t get the toys out in 24hrs. They said no dog is allowed to even visit my house if I didn’t pay the dog fee (my dog has never lived with me in my house). They scam you for your money and are very rude about it. Our ac unit has been broken since we moved in and they apparently “fixed” it 3 separate times. Our house will be unbearably cold or so hot and humid. Our bar stools were left outside by the people who lived here before and we got in trouble for it. Of course the stools were full of dust and dirt that we had to clean. They do inspections and fill out work orders for us but never get what needs to fixed done. Pool is never open. Package system is super unorganized and the front desk is no help if you cannot find your package in the mailroom. The gate has been broken all year so that “security” aspect is a lie. Never again!

I lived here for three years, across two different units, and should have moved out immediately. I kept hoping things would get better, but they never did. During my time at The Republic, I spent more than 35 days without air conditioning or electricity. During one inspection, my roommate informed management that I was showering upstairs, and the male manager let himself into my room while the female manager stayed downstairs. He proceeded to photograph my room. The pool was closed every summer during my four years here. The gym was rarely cleaned- bandages and even blood would remain on the equipment for weeks or months before being addressed. My roommates car and 4 others nearby were broken into. The Republic did nothing to help. I’ve repeatedly fought for fair treatment and never received it. I was promised compensation for issues I faced the month before moving out- my AC unit flooded and caused the ceiling to collapse while I was away on vacation. Every time I traveled, I’d tell my friends, “I hope I don’t come home to a problem.” Without fail, I’d return to a broken AC, power outage, or flooding issue. The Republic later denied ever promising compensation, despite email proof. They have new staff every four months and can’t seem to keep anyone. Their maintenance team has undergone constant turnover- and not for the better. My toilet was used by maintenance staff without my permission, and when our AC went out, they installed “temporary window units” with exposed siding. I could have pushed one right out of the window. Do not live here. And if you already do- move. It was an exhausting three years, and I wish I had left much sooner. I don't know who is working the front desk now- you neglect to respond to my emails so do not respond here. I am disappointed with the lack of morality from Amanda & Hayden during my final months on property. These are just a few photos. I’d attach screenshots of emails but we’d be here a while.

I would not recommend living here based on my experience with the move-out process and the lack of communication afterward. I lived here for two years and consistently paid my rent and utility bills on time. During my time, I did not cause issues for management, staff, or other residents. Because of that, I expected the move-out process to be transparent and professional. After moving out, I was charged for damages that I believe were pre-existing and documented during my move-in inspection. I have time-stamped photos and maintenance records supporting my claims, and I am not disputing every charge—only the specific items for which I have evidence showing they were not my responsibility. I was also charged twice for utilities at move-out. When I reviewed my statements, I noticed one utility charge that the apartment staff could not locate documentation for. The amount charged to my bank account does not match any statement that anyone has been able to provide. Despite repeatedly asking for clarification and supporting documentation, I still have not received answers. The most frustrating part has been the complete lack of communication. I emailed management with detailed questions, supporting documents, and requests for an itemized explanation of the charges. More than two weeks later, I have received no response. I have gone to the office in person and called multiple times, only to be told there is no manager available and that I should continue communicating through email. Those emails continue to go unanswered. I understand that legitimate damages and move-out costs can occur, and I am willing to pay charges that are properly documented and supported. However, tenants deserve transparency, itemized billing, and the opportunity to discuss concerns when they have evidence disputing certain charges. My advice to anyone considering living here: document absolutely everything. Take detailed photos and videos at move-in and move-out, save every maintenance request, keep copies of all emails, and retain all billing statements. You may need that documentation later. Unfortunately, because of the unexplained charges, the inability to provide documentation for billed amounts, and the lack of response from management, I cannot recommend this property to future tenants.

RUN FROM THIS PLACE AND DONT LOOK BACK. If it was possible to give zero stars, it still wouldn’t be an accurate rating. This place deserves a rating that’s in the negatives. My unit was nothing short of disgusting when I moved in, the place was roach infested and our porch unusable because it remains covered in bird poop after one measly maintenance visit which just saturated our poop infested porch with water and called it a day. Constant harassment from neighbors and the street access to the front doors of certain houses leaves you feeling incredibly unsafe after multiple incidences of late night doorbell ringing and door banging from by-passers. The tenant before myself left a cut on the mattress less 2 inches in length on the outer cover which was discovered and documented when I moved in since the mattress had been left flipped upside down (assuming they didn’t want to pay the fee for an entirely new mattress?) which left me responsible for the damages and since the management changes so often they were unable to retrieve my move in damage documentation and charged me nearly $300 upon move out for an entirely new mattress and an additional charge for DUST left on the toilet. This places makes up random numbers for utilities and can’t give you any explanation or breakdown. I was also sent a charge for having an unauthorized pet in the unit when quite literally the first thing I did after applying was get my ESA approved for the lease term. My roommate and I went through hell here so save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to live unless you hate yourself and want a 13th reason. Not to mention my oven nearly caught on fire and filled out unit with smoke 3 times and every work order was ignored. Hope this helps.
