Living at Westwood Village Apartments is truly exceptional. What makes this property so special starts with its manager. Nicole and the entire office staff are absolutely amazing. They greet everyone with the warmest, most genuine smiles and treat residents with such high respect and care. Nicole, in particular, is a truly lovely person—sharp, knowledgeable, and incredibly dedicated. She keeps everything running seamlessly and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure residents feel supported and valued. The team is always accessible and responsive, which makes a world of difference. The property itself is beautiful and thoughtfully maintained. The apartments are spacious, the two elevators make daily life convenient, and the secure parking adds peace of mind. The lobby is especially inviting, with aromatic coffee and tea available—such a welcoming touch that truly makes you feel at home. The rooftop pool area and gym are an oasis in themselves, offering the most beautiful views of Westwood and bright blue skies. Management clearly takes great pride in the property. Every detail is carefully looked after, from the pristine common areas to the building’s exterior. The recent balcony painting is just one example of their ongoing commitment to keeping everything looking fresh and well cared for. And the location is simply unbeatable. Being within walking distance to UCLA and Ronald Reagan Hospital is incredibly convenient. You’re also steps away from great shopping like Trader Joe’s and Target, as well as an amazing variety of restaurants. The Hammer Museum is just a block away, and there’s always something happening nearby—from farmers markets to cultural events—making the neighborhood vibrant and full of life. A heartfelt thank you to Westwood Village Apartments and its dedicated staff—the true driving force behind what makes this property such a wonderful place to call home.

Edit: Months later, STILL don’t have my 500 dollars back. DO NOT RENT HERE AS A FOREIGNER!! I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Westwood Village Apartments was so frustrating and unprofessional that I feel obligated to warn others—especially international renters. About a month ago, I traveled from Amsterdam to Los Angeles specifically to find an apartment, with an ideal move-in date of April 6th. During my visit, I toured Westwood Village Apartments and genuinely loved both the unit and the neighborhood. The staff I met in person were friendly and assured me multiple times that my desired move-in date—about a month out—was perfectly fine due to their “one-month holding period.” Based on that, I moved forward with the application. From there, everything went downhill. The application process itself was incredibly flawed. The system generated an incorrect form with missing financial information (all fields showing $0), and despite repeated calls, no one seemed able to fix it or even understand the issue. Every time I called, I had to re-explain the entire situation to a new person. I was repeatedly promised callbacks and solutions that never came. Eventually, I was told to sign the incorrect form and that they would manually correct it on their end. I specifically asked for this in writing before agreeing—which they did—but I never received a corrected version afterward, leaving me with zero transparency about what was actually submitted. As an international applicant, I also ran into another major issue: they refused to accept any financial documents in euros. I was forced to transfer a large amount of money into a U.S. account just to meet their requirements, incurring additional fees—something that could have been communicated upfront. Despite all of this, my application was eventually approved. I even received a welcome email and was told to keep a look out for an email explaining how I could sign the lease. Then—after a full week of silence—I reached out for an update. That’s when I received a call from the assistant manager, who informed me—rudely and dismissively—that my application had been canceled. No prior notice. No email. Nothing. The reason? Suddenly, they claimed they only allow a two-week holding period—not one month. This directly contradicted what at least six different employees had told me throughout the process. When I pointed this out, she made no effort to resolve the situation or take responsibility. Instead, she spoke in a condescending and belittling tone, even saying, “Let me explain it in a way you’ll understand” and "Yeah, we have a lot of temps." Who all say the same thing? At that point, it was clear this was not a professional or trustworthy operation. To make matters worse: • My $500 holding deposit was taken and still has not been returned (despite being told it had been). • The $55 application fee was, of course, non-refundable. • The unit I applied for was originally listed at $3,336/month, but during the call, the price was suddenly quoted as $3,900, then $3,500, with no clear explanation—raising serious concerns about pricing transparency. I was then told I could “try again” two weeks before my move-in date and just hope the unit was still available—despite them already having taken my deposit. Unsurprisingly, when I called back at the two-week mark, the unit was gone. The staff member I spoke to had “limited access” and couldn’t provide any real information or assistance. I was once again told to “call back tomorrow.” This entire experience was chaotic, disorganized, and deeply unprofessional. There is a clear lack of communication internally, no accountability, and a complete disregard for the time, effort, and money of prospective tenants—especially those coming from abroad. Final verdict: If you value transparency, professionalism, and basic communication, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Nice place and Paula & JC were very helpful. Very convenient place. I stayed with my 3 kids during 5 weeks. We appreciated the coffee machine in the lobby. The parking access was easy, great to have the gym on the rooftop. I recommend

I’m doing a short term rental and everyone has been incredibly kind and helpful! I got a fully furnished apartment and it’s perfect for what I need, and has everything and then some. The apartment is close to everything and has great walk-ability. And the management really shines at this apartment! JC is super charismatic and bubbly, came in on their day off to help out and let me into the apartment, give me a full tour and took time to ensure that I was all set to go! Carole is incredibly sweet and helpful, and Paula worked with me directly for almost two weeks to make sure I could get have this apartment ready, and she was always available. The way everyone has treated me makes me wish I could stay here much longer!
